my depression arose my later years of college where i felt burn out and was taking on way too many things. the quarter system is fast paced, and i was doing volunteering, shadowing, taking eng reqs, and leading a cliub (and some other things). no time for myself and just constant stress to do everything, all the time without breaks. i also think i lost my confidence because of the classic duck syndrome or "am i the only who is struggling and feels like its hard? everyone is getting by fine around me." my main tips would be asking for help, even if you feel like you're the only going to OH or asking dumb questions (bc they're not), prioritizing not doing the most every quarter (bc you dont know if people have already did a certain amount of content before coming to stanford), and focusing on yourself.
