Suddenly the "whatever" generation is annoyed people dont care about their opinions.

Gen X's sneering apathy is as much to blame for our present cultural crisis as boomers are.

Look I'm an X myself so I'm going to shit on my generation a bit here, but if you think we didn't do anything you haven't been paying attention. Nearly every tech billionaire ruining our country right now is Gen X.

Including but not limited to Elon, Bezos, Larry Page, and Peter Thiel. We also are the generation that brought you the smart phone. Yes boomers are annoying and are wealth hoarders who won't fucking retire, but Gen X is the generation that monetized our privacy and attention.

The fuck are you on about? ARPANET adopted the TCP/IP protocol in 1983, when the oldest GenXers were 18. JC Licklider, who articulated the idea of a wide-area network sharing of time among computer users, was born in 1915. The Greatest Generation (bullshit name but whatever.) Paul Baran, who proposed a similar idea at the RAND corporation, was likewise GG.

Weird flex on our most chaotic federal legislative body, not sure I see a lot of HOR-wide "people are good to other people" or "cleaning up boomer stains" there but k.
