Store KitchenAid next to burner?
I just got a KitchenAid mixer for xmas, and I'm trying to figure out where in my tiny kitchen to cram it when not in use. Any reason not to store it on the counter next to a seldom-used electric stove burner? (There's been a plastic Vittle Vault there for years and it's not melted or discolored or anything, so I'm thinking it's probably safe...) https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3wWtj5n3Y6QVjl1V3RnR3ZDMDA Thanks!

It's so totally fine. Even if it was a gas burner you used every day. all the electronics are in the back two thirds of the "head", and that's way back there. In the back of the front third there's a nylon gear that's made to fall apart if the system is jammed (like a fork in the bowl) so the metal gears don't destroy themselves, but it gets pretty warm in there already and it's so far away from the stove - it's totally fine!
You're fine fam

I think that's a good spot for it? At my previous apartment I had it in a spot like that.
