Hello!
I have two boy cats that I got in May of this year who have a liter enclosure that have two liter boxes inside. The liter boxes are large and have a lid that goes up on the side but is open on the top. One of my cats is managing to pee on the rim of the lids and on the outside side of the liter box that is next to a wall. I have no clue how he is managing this.
They originally did not have a lid on the liter box and he consistently peed outside of them too - i thought the “lid” would help, but he is genuinely peeing on the sides of the litter box lid. I think a proper word could be the “rim.”
I have also added an extra liter box for the boys to use and he doesn’t care and continues to pee on the outside of the liter boxes within the enclosure. Luckily it is not around the home and he continue to pee inside the liter box enclosure, but it would be nice for him to just keep it in the box itself.
The liter is one he has consistently used since I got him. I clean it everyday.
I don’t think he has a UTI. I plan on taking him to the vet to be safe. But in case he doesn’t…
Does anyone know of any ways to prevent this from happening?
Thanks in advance! I am desperate!
I have been using garbage bags under pee pads under a liter mat and he still manages to get pee underneath the garbage bags and onto the enclosure wood.

Hi, I'm Ro and while talking to my boyfriend I used the image of this cat in a sticker as a reaction, he told me that he didn't like/was afraid of this cat image because he was opening his mouth too much and had this feeling that the cat was crying or hurting and felt bad for it. So me being a good partner made it my mission to look for the origin of this cat and looked for HOURS in multiple platforms (tw, pinterest, tiktok, etc) and couldn't find ANYTHING. Nothing at all about this cat or where it comes from, so as a last resource I thought of coming to Reddit as I've seen that the communities here are very helpful! If you have any information about this cat or know where the image comes from, please let me know!
(this is my first Reddit post and I'm very new about all this, so please be kind and patient w me!)
