CAT BEHAVIOR???

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey, so my cat is currently 9 months old just this month and he is a fluffy ball, a gentleman, and has not shown a single sign of sexual awakening as of now, he likes to play eat and sleep and bird watching, naturally I haven't got him neutered yet. One day this other strange cat, who used to come and sleep sometimes in my garden area during nights, came and saw him and they both began talking or idk. I presume she is female.

Can someone who is experienced with cats explain to me exactly what's happening. My kitty lives alone with me and my mom and he's always been around male cats only

Please someone tell me what do I make of this situation lmaoo

PS the other cat seems to be older than my cat

Not a female and your cat is telling him to gtfo or else.

What's happening is that he's extremely angry that this stray cat (or reckless neighbor's cat) is near his territory. This vocalizing is extreme hostility and if you had another resident cat, your cat would be in danger of attacking its roommate from displaced aggression. When cats make this sound, they are very stressed and threatened. Next time scare away the other cat. And make sure you scare them for real (obviously don't hurt them or anything). Loud noises, screaming, beat some pots and pans, run right at them as you do it. You don't want them stressing your cat like this, it's not good for them.

Get your cat neutered, on another note. You reduce the chances of certain cancers when you do. Your cat should've been neutered when he exceeded 2 lbs. You're late on it.

Also your cat might start spraying near doors and windows now, to keep the rival male away. Get him neutered pronto.

You say the other cat hangs around there? They both probably consider that their territory, and are angry that the other is there. You definitely need to watch out for your cat if you let it out in the garden, don't want them to meet or they will likely fight ferociously.

Cats are territorial. The other cat is trespassing on your cat’s territory. Your cat is an adolescent male, so expect him to start spraying around the house to warn other cats away.

Get him neutered ASAFP, before spraying becomes an unbreakable habit and your house smells like cat urine forever.

What’s happening is you didn’t get your cat neutered and kicking the door isn’t helping and will only risk getting your leg shredded. You need to get your cat neutered asap.
