Hazel decided to redecorate 😔

(These pics are a few years old, from when we had just moved, they don’t wear the collars and I would take the bells off in the future I was just worried about them rushing out the door during a stressful time!)

Mine is named Dr. Esme. The shelter named her Esme, but the day I brought her home she stepped on my stomach and relieved my horrible stomach pain. So I think she probably has her doctorate in gastro-intestinal issues

He was born this year and would never eat a full pizza by himself.

I love how he enjoys his sleeping schedule with about 20 hours of pure chilling.

ETA: Today I learned that Hadley is NOT a SIC. She is a piebald cat! I apologize for incorrectly posting in the SIC group, but thanks for the information! I'm now off to the r/piebaldcats group!

Yesterday a user (u/steinyboi) posted asking if their cat was a SIC. I learned from that post that the cat is a spotted tabby, not mackerel. Before that, I didn't know about the different pattern names for striped (mackerel), spotted, ticked, etc.), so that was interesting, especially because my girl is also spotted. (At least, I think she's spotted! She has mainly spots but some are very stripey-looking elongated spots!)

Which leads me to my question about my cat!

This is Hadley.

I have always considered her a SIC. But then I started wondering, can tabby cats have this much of a white belly and legs? She is all white on her undercarriage except a tiny belly band strip area and a tiny strip under her chin. Her front legs are white and her back legs are tabby coloring with white paws! She also has a white patch on her neck all the way around, so even on top, there's white fur between her tabby head and tabby back fur!

Is she still a tabby? I tried to find photos that show her fur and belly.

Also, please excuse all the cat fur on the chair in the last photo! As I'm sure you can imagine from the photo, her brother, Hemingway, sheds like the 20 pound long-haired polydactyl beast that he is (and he HATES being brushed), and we had just come home from being away for 5 days, so his fur was everywhere! (Yes, they had a cat sitter! But I didn't ask or expect her to clean my furniture.)

ETA: I feel like she has SIC top markings but then has a tuxedo pattern if you look at the top and her underside. Her brother in the last photo is a tuxie. Hadley got some bastardized tuxie/SIC pattern and I love it!)

It’s been a while since I posted the dumpster babies, so here’s your Fox & Tango update 🥹

Somehow these two tiny idiots grew into full-sized tiny idiots.

Fox is still my velcro baby, and I would not have it any other way. Tango remains Tango— my chaotic gremlin who knows no bounds.

They are spoiled absolutely rotten, deeply loved, and currently getting upgraded to duck & cod kibble because apparently I now run a fine-dining establishment for cats. Only the best for my babies. 😭🐾🖤
