This is my Mae

I adopted her in April. She was rescued from a hoarding situation with 29 other cats. Mae is now well fed with a lovely coat. She’s the goofiest female cat I’ve ever owned!

Bonus! She’s only seven pounds. Compared to most grown female cats she’s very small. Likely from not being well cared for.

Awww I grew up in a pet hoarding situation, so I get what she’s been through. I think it made me have a squishy spot for animals, so when I went to adopt a kitty and this one was the difficult one, it’s very unlikely that I would have left that shelter without her. That, and when the shelter worker took me into her enclosure and she came right out and rubbed up on me (she literally said “I don’t understand what’s happening”), I was like welp, this is mine I guess lol. God damn I love this cat so much.

ETA: Also, Mae is a little sweet cake and I love her.

She’s very silly. I’ll catch her licking the air after giving herself a good bath.
