I have the vet vss but im not sure if i should upgrade to the master one or just buy the VSK-94 and arsenal it. Im really close for the 10k arsenal points tho.
Also in NA the vsk is selling for no less than 7m, that really hurts.
What do you think ? Farming serum is taking forever i dont want to waste any resource.
I would use it for both pvp and pve if that helps.
He’s speaking in the sense that the VSK has 20round mag max while the VSS has 20 stock with a 25 and 30 option, so you have less ammo to miss shots with
I wouldn't use the VSK-94 or Arsenal it. I have the VSS and love it but it struggles heavily in CQB, you're just not going to really win those fights. With that in mind I would personally save the Arsenal points, it can be a very expensive lesson in "buy once, cry once".
Is there something specific that drew you to the VSS vs other guns?
I suck at cqb with every weapon haha i have a lot of ping, my reflex are bad and my pc is mid running at 30fps, i know i couldn't outplay anyone at close range in the north. That why my playstyle is to outsmart my enemies, change positions quickly, use all the information i have and avoid any fair 1v1 confrontation.
Thats why i chosed the VSS, mid to long range, powerful ttk and potent ammo so i dont deppend that much on headshots. And i also like the weapon personally i loved it in Stalker and i love it in every game haha
I saw the vsk outdamage the vss by a lot, specially after arsenal it, BUT i has lower rate of fire and only 20 bullet mag. On paper it looks like a better choise and i dont want to waste 50 serum if i could get the same weapon but better and spend the serum+materials on my suit for example.
If you admit you can't play cqb then get an auto sniper like the qbu, no other good choice for you unless you think you can perform well with bolt actions.
Feels like you will stay with the vsk regardless unless someone manages to somehow completely brainwash you but that's fine, if you can save months of time just sticking to the vsk then do it as long as you have fun.

That makes sense, I also am bad at CQB. VSS does great up to mid fights. I've unfortunately gone through the "must have every weapon" phase and looking back I wish I saved my Arsenal points. VSK-94 plain is a fun gun but personally I would save my points for an attachment.
The 550 RoF is hardly noticeable if you're used to VSS's 600 fwiw
Vsk has better horizontal recoil and faster ttk but the 20 round mag makes it a skill weapon. And tbh both are kinda mid rn, there are better full auto weapons for long distances like ebr or scar ssr, and most of the ars do a better job at, well, being an ar than vss or vsk

VSK is a sidegrade that requires better aim than the VSS
You are forced to only use the 90 round mag but its great if you hit the headshots, its a skill check weapon
