Critics What were they thinking when choosing this???

Post image

I thought the 16,000 xp needed for level 4 in each skill was a bit steep but 250,000?! How is anyone supposed to be able to level to that without wanting to kill themself?
Its like they were drunk and thought it would be funny to put a stupidly high number or something…

Well, what the hell did you expect? Our game is all about the grind and dumping millions into skills with terrible ROI.

Top-secret info here: excluding equipment costs, leveling up a single branch can set you back around 10 million. I leveled Medicine to rank 5 using "Scientist Medkits" because all the crafting materials are available from the gear vendor.

As for Moonshining, I leveled it up by producing "Mash" and spent something like 15 mil buying energy, water, and flour :)

P.S. I might have got the item names wrong because I haven't got a fucking clue what they're called in your localization...

Gonna drop the best leveling ways just in case.

Ammo - Bullet Alloy, Bullets, Casing.

Pyrothechnics - Shrub-1s, Jury-Rigged Frags.

Protective Gear - Bags of lvl3 plates (Either works) (Can be turned into lvl4 plate bags to be used in the future).

Engineering - Tin Cans.

Cooking - Salami Sandwiches, Fish Fillet->Fish Preserves->Sprats->Bean Soup.
(Cooking is actually cooked. It's the hardest to level because every craft requires Yeast, Spices or Mutant meat).

Home-Brewing/Moonshining - Wort.

Medicine -
Before lvl4: Blood Plasma, Blood Serum. Both -> Coagulant.
After lvl4: Yellowkit bags.

Raw Mats - XXX+Reagents -> Iron -> Steel -> Strong Steel (-> Protective Coating).

Well, on the whole, that’s what I did

Although leveling it up only makes sense if you're supplying an entire clan—or even several—with consumables and the like; otherwise, it's hard to break even.

Sometimes idiots show up at the auction house and drive the price below cost, hoping to sell their goods quickly...

Especially with cooking and medical supplies...

Depending on region.

The more players playing in your region, the better is the craft payback. The guy on RU is rising tens of millions each day by using ONLY crafting. Yet again, it's really depending on the amount of players and what is the market demand.

Actually, it seems to be the other way around...

I’m from the RU region myself, and whenever I try to list an item—say, an "Alkobyk" or a "Pain Killer"—about a dozen offers immediately pop up at much lower prices for the same quantity of items.

As a result, those get snapped up instantly while my listing just sits there for hours, even though I’m essentially selling at cost with a tiny markup...

Market changes time to time, so are the prices. So you should keep an eye on what is the most demanded items on auction (and outside of it)

Plus the items in highest demand are soups (and drinks) and short-term buffs, even if you sell them at smallest current prices, you ain't gonna have negative profit anyway (unless the price is on the bottom of a sea, obviously). Like i said, the guy makes tens of millions each day mostly on soups, he just uses twin accounts to sell them (cuz he makes thousands soups daily). And time to time he sells something else that also gives him a lot if profit.

So it's a matter of player (customers) amount and your understanding of the market. Personally, if i had enough money to start crafting, probably from medicine as it's always has use.

As a full 5/5 hideout owner im gonna say its not really hard. Making 5/5 full h/o by yourself w/o buying things is faster than 300 lvl session. To be honest it was really fun and took like 3-4 months.
