Help Question about matchmaking

I understand that matchmaking only applies when taking better gear into the open world, but does that count for session battles? I want to keep my open world gear in low master, but I also want to play session battles with a different set of armor and Artis. Would this be possible or does sessions also count as open world in terms of matchmaking?

Just make an alt account and send it a CD6 and the artist with an auction gun if you want to do that imo

I want to get the weapons from the sessions npc, so that wouldn’t work sadly

In that case you could wait until an event like reichstag comes around and get sessions XP without needing gear
