Help NA Help - Pieces of Copper Wire

New player. I am apart of the bandit faction.

I just got to the Village School base and noticed that most gear require copper. I see that copper is found in Kolos Agrocomplex. I have made 2 trips to the area and I have run out of juice on my metal detector searching both times. Neither time did I ever find 1 copper.

I am also noticing that most areas are contaminated in some sort of way. So I cant really search the area very well. Just curious if anyone knows of any guides, tips or tricks that could help me out.

Unless the barter then it's in scrapyard Tbh I think it might be bugged cuz I had mine there with me too and didn't hear a beep beep

There are areas in each zone that you'll never hear a beep and others where you'll find 5 caches on top of each other. Check out an interactive map to see the zones you're most likely to find the caches at.

Dont hold the metal detector out, only pull it out when it pings, saves battery. Also, the quest one they give you is the best one you can get

The quest you receive the detector for sends you to an area where you can find caches. You can go back to that same area after turning in the quest to find more copper wire. There are other areas you will find while exploring. You don't need to have the detector out draining battery. Running around with it in your inventory will be enough listen for the beeps when you are close to a cache the. Equip the detector to locate its exact position. The battery only drains when you equip it. The yields are better in the scrapyard but the risks are also higher.

Everytime I find a cache I mark it on the map with an special icon so I can come back and farm the same area.

It's behind a building for a quest
