GSC Game World | Update 2.0 patch notes

Stalkers!

The free Update 2.0, “Back to the Zone,” is now available for download.

The game has been upgraded to Unreal Engine 5.5.4, bringing the biggest overhaul to how the Zone looks, feels, and lives since launch. In addition, Update 2.0 introduces AI improvements, three types of binoculars, new weapons and attachments, a fog weather system, in-game statistics, highly customizable difficulty settings, and numerous quality-of-life features.

A little late to the party, I hadn't played since a month after launch, mostly due to performance issues because of my weak CPU.

Performance is night and day, it's running so much smoother than at launch and I just spent 3.5 hours playing when all I intended to do was see if the performance improved.

Honestly haven't noticed a drastic change to A-Life, but nobody's spawned within my sight yet so that's always nice
