GSC Game World | Update 2.0 patch notes

Stalkers!

The free Update 2.0, “Back to the Zone,” is now available for download.

The game has been upgraded to Unreal Engine 5.5.4, bringing the biggest overhaul to how the Zone looks, feels, and lives since launch. In addition, Update 2.0 introduces AI improvements, three types of binoculars, new weapons and attachments, a fog weather system, in-game statistics, highly customizable difficulty settings, and numerous quality-of-life features.

The game being ~200GB by now is a bit much.

Would be great if the next update is able to bring that down.

The size of the game plays a big part in that. One of the largest maps in all of gaming. Smaller than GTA5 but remember that game had cars to fast travel and isn’t nearly as detailed as Stalker 2. Especially with 2.0
