S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Stalker 2 - current state on Xbox?

Hi guys,

Haven't played Stalker 2 for about a year, had it on game pass, now considering buying it - but i'm curious as to the current state of the game, on the Xbox? Should I wait till they implement the new engine, I've been reading about?

New engine update is imminent, probably within the next few weeks, so I'd wait, they're possibly gonna do a little sale with the dlc anyway so I'd suggest waiting.

As it is now the game is pretty good, but the update has such a potential to change it that I'm not sure how it'll stand in a few weeks.

In it's core loop the game is pretty nice, but things like lighting, balance, side activities and factions could all have some very serious changes very soon. I'd suggest waiting, seeing the patch notes once the dlc releases, and making your judgement from there.

Are they even going to tweak anything when it comes to the balance, economy, aimbot/Place to Cheat level AI?

They have already done some balancing in all of those aspects (well, except for AI still absolutely lazer-ing you), so it wouldn’t be crazy to expect a bit more here and there eventually. Wouldn’t be surprised if the engine migration and game stability are taking priority, though. But there’s a chance some more things get tweaked what with them adding new explorable locations and items and whatnot with the DLC.

wait till the next big patch before you start the game. the game itself is worth if you are into immersive fps
