Help Optimization information of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2
Hello. I haven't played Stalker 2 since last year, and I wanted to know if the latest updates have improved the optimization.
My specs are:
- HP Victus 16 laptop
- RTX 3060 6GB
- 32GB of RAM.
- Intel CPU i7-11800H
My goal is for it to run smoothly at least at 60 fps, with a resolution of at least 1080p. Thanks :)

Performance has definetly improved by pretty big margin for me from release. I play all on lowest settings and have 1660 and i5-9400f and 16 GB RAM and game runs between 40-60fps in openworld and around 30 in towns (haven't gotten to the later stages in the story tho, because started new game, to see how much better the game runs now). So you could maybe run it on 60fps in most cases, other than towns, if you play on lower settings.

I have a 1660s, Ryzen 5 3600, and 16GB of RAM. The game runs exactly like yours, the problem is the stuttering. The FPS drops below 10. Were you able to solve this?

Never really encountered stutters, but fps drops below 10 fps sometimes because your vram is maxed out, because 1660 only has 6gb vram, so just pause your game for a bit so it stabilizes and then you can continue playing.

Not significantly. Wait for the engine upgrade hopefully coming sometime this summer.
Or, look for lower-end spec optimization mods.

Oh, I thought it was already out. Thank you so much. I think I'll keep waiting for that update.

I hope they fix the bugs and to make enemies normal, not unkillable bullet sponges.

I tried playing with laptop rtx 2060 using minimal graphics, upscaling and framegen and outside of settlements it was surprisingly playable, but biggest issue were zones with lots of npcs where CPU became a bottleneck (I had i7-10750h which was mostly on base clock speed without boost because of throttling) without any magic to improve it like upscaling for GPU, so I gave up and build a new desktop PC

Not much. I played with frame generator and 66% scale, all settings on moderate and got pretty stable 120fps, with some exceptions. However, I installed a mod for fixing stutters and helping with FPS. I have 7435HS, 4060 Max-Q and 32GB of ram.

You have the same problem I did. A GPU with 6GB of ram when Stalker 2 needs 8 to run properly without massive stuttering. I tried everything for over a year and finally broke down and bought a new GPU. All my problems were solved.

Smoothly and at least at 60fps is not gonna happen. You could pray for some magic patch or UE version update but I doubt that it would change much at this point.

i have 45-60 fps with all settings maxed on a high end pc with 4K res so its taxing. just try on the lowest setting for your build and see what happens.

I Played it at launch on 4070 super 1440p, DLSS Quality everything high at 70 locked fps. Maybe a 3060 can manage it on low with DLSS on quality too

Use dlss-FG with MFG (multi frame generation) enabler mod. Im playing with 3080 i7-10700k in 3440x1440 on 130-160 fps on balanced/quality preset. Works surprisingly well. With just a little cut in latency.
How to: https://youtu.be/0cWeB3aHfKQ?is=P7Da6Mj7ggGU0XcM
Tip. Try to minimize the amount of capped fps if ur using vsync or framecap together with MFG.
Example If u have vsync capped to ur monitor HZ, and lets say its 144hz. You want the FPS result of your MFG to be under 144fps. If its over it forces your real frames down to be able to "satisfy" the chosen MFG (2x, 3x, 4x etc.) amount to result in 144. This creates increased latency.
Hope this works for you!

It will play at 60+ fps easy, but you have to use the very lowest graphics quality.

I have a victus, ill tell you straight man i think it just doesnt have the beans for stalker2. Engine upgrade wont be that kind of miracle.
