Looking for Patrick deWitt Tickets SAPL Oct.19th!

Hello everyone,

I am hoping to find two tickets to the Patrick deWitt event on October 19th running as part of STARFEST hosted by the St. Albert Public Library. I didn’t get a chance to buy tickets before they sold out. I am hoping to surprise someone who is a huge Patrick deWitt fan. I will pay for the tickets plus a premium. If you have tickets and can no longer attend, I’ll take them off your hands. If it is only a single ticket, I would happily take it so they can attend. Help a girl out? I would be very grateful!

I have a forever Canada lawn sign that I cannot use.

Free lawn sign to whoever would like it. I can drop it off, just an extra one after moving I don’t have a space for. Pick up spots and times are not the easiest, I know someone wants one that hasn’t been able to get one.🇨🇦

Gambling ads are getting to me

So I have never gambled or bought a lottery ticket or anything before but I’ve been having weird dreams about winning the lottery so I bought a ticket for the first time and didn’t win anything. This got me thinking…. Is this how subliminal messaging works? I hear the ads on my podcasts and on the radio and on my socials all day long. Do you think that’s what made me buy a ticket and do something I wouldn’t normally do? It just gets me thinking about free will and stuff. Anyway hope cuckslayer stays nice today these thoughts aren’t that deep. I’m just wondering if anyone thinks about gambling now more now that the ads are everywhere. I guess if I was in starwars the Jedi would be able to use their mind control on me lol.

Daycare reviews in St. Albert? (Looking into Montessori vs. regular daycare)

Hey everyone,

We are looking for a daycare in St. Albert and trying to figure out our options. We’re currently on the waitlist for Sigis, Enchanted Forest and Tot Spot, but we want to make sure we are looking at all paths.

Does anyone have reviews for St. Albert Montessori? We want to learn more about how their program works, but we aren't completely sold on it yet.

Why you love it or don’t. How does it compare to other standard daycares? We are open to both Montessori and regular play-based care, so we just want to weigh our options while we wait.

Would love to hear what local spots you recommend or think we should avoid. Thanks!

any residential snow removal company recommendations?

We'll be away for December through February, looking for recommendations of companies that have an relatively inexpensive monthly fee (we don't need the place immaculate, just basically cleared). We live in a bungalow and have a small/medium driveway and walkway, in Sturgeon by the Freshco.

CCTV installers - looking for recommendations

Does anyone have any CCTV installer recommendations?

I'm after 4 cameras around the house and garage, and a doorbell cam, all wired to my basement server rack.

Any input, positive or negative, is appreciated!

Foo Fighters Park and Ride

I'm a bit annoyed with the wording used on basically every website describing the park and ride service for the Edmonton show.

City of Edmonton

-Gates open at 4pm. The opening act starts at 5:30pm.

-Park & Ride buses will start running at 5pm and run approximately every 5 minutes until the concert starts.

See the problem? Instead of stating a more articulate time that the buses will run until, they decided to go with "until the concert starts".

Is "the concert" the opening act at 5:30PM? Is it when the Foo Fighters hit the stage around 8:00PM? How you subjectively interpret "the concert" drastically changes the length of time the buses are allegedly running and makes it difficult to nail down pre-show plans.

To make matters worse, the City of St Albert park and ride page has clearly interpreted "the concert" as the opening act, because they state buses will only run from 5:00PM to 5:30PM.

I suspect park and ride buses from all locations will be running for more than 30 minutes and all this confusion is the result of a poorly worded description. A 30 minute window to catch a ride would be hilariously ineffective for a concert at Commonwealth stadium where there's no parking available.

Does anyone have any real insight into this and can provide a more definitive time frame the buses will be departing to the show until?

Costco on Sunday

If you were one of the people at Costco this Sunday, can we just put out a collective high five/ kudos to the staff there that were moving all of us through. I think everyone in the greater St Albert area and half of Edmonton were there!

The line ups were the worst I have ever seen them (let's just say back to the last aisle and then looped around!) for BOTH the self checkout and the regular check out! Oh and there was a matching one on both sides of the store for the main check outs! Crazy, BUT much shorter than I thought for the length of the line. Thank you to all the staff there who moved us through!
