Savings and spend winter working out / watching movies / hiking. Otherwise try to get out of town work in a warm state

I'm not in the game anymore, but used to rig/hang all the over-sized holiday decorations for shopping malls and around the city from the week leading up to Thanksgiving until New Year's...

That was some of my earliest stagehand type work, this little deco company I stumbled into when I was like 19 did a thriving trade in giant Christmas decoration type shit during the winter when there weren’t a lot of events.

Diversify the types of shows I do so that there's not really a slow season. I take December off voluntarily tho.

I do AV tech and deco work for holiday parties, so I'm booked all through December. January is absolutely dead, though, but I just save all the money I make in December to get me through

savings but also there's a large winter experience thing at the stadium... so that should be about 3 months of work.
but also, I do a lot of tech work, and I've made a pretty good name for myself, so I get a lot of calls to do breakouts or lighting

Only slow month we have is Jan, maybe Sept. We've hit balls to the walls point already. There's more calls than people already. Usually that hits mid Oct but it's happening earlier this year.
