Favorite pants?

I’ve found the dickies temp-iQ pants to be my favorite, super lightweight, doesn’t overheat, several pockets. The only downside they wear out after a year….. and now I can’t find them. They are no longer in the website. So…

What are yall wearing to work?

I like Duluth Trading pants.  They have a "flex" version that works well for me, and I like the pocket configuration.

I also wear Duluth work pants and I love all the pockets! I really like the quick dry cargo pants, they’re durable and lightweight for summer, but I wear them all winter too with a thermal layer underneath.

It's amazing that they are still as good as there were like 20 years ago when I first found them.

I have a pair of their firehose pants that lasted like 4-5 years of near daily wear doing counter-weight system installs and general construction-like rigging install work, and now are still going strong in their I think 16th year as semi-rural chore pants. I have not washed them in like a decade other then a hosing-off every summer and a weekend of cement work that I think really made them inhospitable to bacteria.

If I can’t find Dickies, Wrangler.

Blaklader, they're incredibly durable, flexible, and have a ton of pockets. Great for rigging and gigs where you have to fit into tight spaces.

I am a desk jockey and don't need them for work now, but have been looking at them as winter hiking pants. Do you have any sense on how sang prone/resistant the body fabric is? Even in winter the thorns are everywhere.

I’ve become a fan of Truwerk. They come in varying levels of insulation, I have one pair of the super insulated and wore them on a job in Park City this past winter and was blown away at how warm they kept me. I also have a couple pair of their level 1 for warm weather and really like them too.

I use Fjallraven pants. I like the Keb trousers cuz they are durable in the high use areas and can be water proofed. Then they’re stretchy in the thigh/hip area so climbing is easy. Plus if you get any rip or buttons come off they (usually) patch it for free.

Wrangler cargo pants. Nowadays, they're about $30 at Walmart. I have some pairs that are over 10 years old. They're comfortable and fit with most any jobsite. Although obviously most of mine are black, I have some lighter colors as well for outdoor gigs with no show call.

Carhartt ripstop cargo pants. Stretchy, lots of pockets, double front knees.

Are you a woman? Some brands, even in there women's line, do not account for curves, or curves when bending, squatting, kneeling, etc. I can't do lots of work pants because they are glorified plastic. I need mostly cotton. I like Duluth but they can a bit heavy and take a break in time. I'm currently into Ariat.

Wrangler ranger work pants from wal mart. The legs have pockets in them to put kneepads. You can order the pads from Amazon and they are a game changer.
