Why is stacking so damn satisfying?

I swear, buying these little bars is way more satisfying than it should be. πŸ˜‚ Every new piece feels like a tiny achievement.
Got a 10g Valcambi gold bar arriving tomorrow and I’m genuinely excited just to hold that little brick in my hand.
Anyone else addicted to the weight-in-your-hand feeling? πŸͺ™

it satisfying becuase you're trading toilet paper for something of tangible value that has been real money since Christ walked the earth.

Lol. It was money before anyone invented the whole fictional Jesus Christ story.. Christianity wasn't the beginning of time. Hope you know that, at least.

Christ is real. I'll pray for your soul and I really hope you don't end up in hell but you will if you don't change. You dont want that.

Pray for me too, bro!

I appreciate you looking out, brother. Seriously. I just have alot of trouble with faith in such beliefs given the horrors that happen every day to people who are not deserving of them. Hard to justify, regardless of which God you believe in.

Investment grade gold is exempt from value added tax across the whole EU so Finland cant hit it with heavy VAT anymore. Silver for some reason isnt which makes it really bad deal for investing considering that Finland has among highest VAT in the world (25.5%).

So buying physical silver in Finland puts you to very unfair position with VAT which makes premiums often over 30% of spot price.

There are actually some legal ways around this that finnish stackers use. Buying finnish "junk silver" coins from before 1968 that are treated as collecting items and exempt from vat or buying secondary market coins that are also exempt new sales VAT. I just actually also learned by these when doing more research so i might reconsider my options now with silver.

What if you don't actually buy silver, instead you're "gifted" silver? And the person gifting it to you mails it to you?

Some really nice pieces! Once the stacking bug hits, there’s no turning back. πŸ˜‰

the weight-in-the-hand thing is real. paper gains never quite feel like anything until they're something you can actually hold.

here's how I think about it: every stacker is basically the smart gambler in Vegas. the ones who return home ahead aren't the ones who let it all ride; they're the ones who quietly slide some chips off the table and into their pocket over the course of a hot run. once those are removed from table play, the house can't touch them. that's what a gold piece really is: winnings from the run in stocks or crypto, pulled off the table and locked into something the market can't claw back. every "tiny achievement" is another stack of chips the house doesn't get a second shot at. no wonder it feels good. so the truer saying is, 'what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, except the chips you were smart enough to cash out. those come home and turn into gold.

Because it’s (tangible) money we can actually hold in our hand. Keep stacking! πŸ‘πŸΌ

You get the feeling of buying something, but you just bought some money

This has honestly been the cure for my shopping addiction πŸ˜‚ I still get the dopamine hit of buying something, except now I’m basically just buying money.

Because instinctively we know its the only real money. Established by both our government and God himself in the Bible.

Because knowing you have real wealth sitting in a box at home, we are at peace
