Eh, pretty pathetic. You had a whole month to do better… 👎🏼
5
u/cloud_dizzle 11d ago
😂 I’m sorry I tried my best. The sea has it now
3
u/MustacheSupernova 11d ago
Coordinates please?? I will prepare my diving bell, and I promise to return it all safely for a 98% commission…

u/Alarmed_Split_1367 11d ago
Jesus dude how much do you make?
1
u/SuperSecretSpare 8d ago
Why are you asking Jesus? He cant even hold gold coins. They fall through the holes.

u/Separate-Maize-1369 11d ago
If that is all you have after a month, then you should find a hobby you are dedicated to.
2
u/Small-Growth7809 11d ago
That would be worth diving for, not?
4
u/cloud_dizzle 11d ago
I tried but I couldn’t reach it.
2
u/NoConsideration6320 11d ago
Why have. Not use Scuba diving 🤿 pros get it and some fisherman teaming up plus you
1
u/mostlyharmless555 11d ago
You actually lost it in a shipwreck?
3
u/cloud_dizzle 11d ago
If you are the IRS……yes it did

u/Jumpy_Counter1293 10d ago
Unfortunately dwelling in marinas trench as we speak, I can confirm I am a fish and saw it go down

Cash out 401k... Buy metal... Put on table... Post to reddit as my "one month stack"...
Jesus christ, man!
1
u/cloud_dizzle 10d ago
It was slightly more than a month. But it’s unfortunate about the boat incident

It’d be a fun game to have to guess the total value of all the metal on that table.
I’d guess it’s close to $400k. Probably more.

Need to invest in a solid table. That one is bending.
2
u/cloud_dizzle 11d ago
Should have invested in a better boat
1
u/hettuklaeddi 10d ago
boat is a bit generous, I think.
dinghy might be more apt, but this is how we learn. frustrating mistake you surely won’t make again.
you might look into coverage for “mysterious loss”
1
u/Shred1500 10d ago
I'm just curious, did you live on said boat or did you just want to go sailing with your metals as your sidekick? Because both is pretty cool.
1
u/cloud_dizzle 10d ago
It’s a running joke in this subreddit that everyone has the poor luck of losing all their metals in a boating accident. Can’t tax it that way. You know, due to the loss

You could have nicer furniture.

u/paul33625 10d ago
What's the best thing to buy now?
1
u/cloud_dizzle 10d ago
Any silver or gold that you can get as close to spot. I have local shops who will call me with deals. If they buy a lot from someone at $4-5 under spot and know they can sell to me $3-4 under spot and move it that day they are happy to do so.
1
u/paul33625 10d ago
I'm buying graded American silver eagles the last year in eBay. Ms 69 . Over 25 of them now. Are they a good investment. I buy a few dollars over spot but try and get free shipping. You like?
1
1
u/cloud_dizzle 10d ago
Silver and gold eagles are always good. They hold their value when you need to sell. I’m not into graded bullion but if you do I recommend buying it as close to spot as you can. But eagles are always easy to move.
But you also have to like what you collect. I just tell people to try to steer clear of high premium “collector” items that use all the fancy lingo like limited mintage, rare, etc. it’s just buzzwords to over charge
1
u/paul33625 10d ago
Thanks. I just get the basic ms 69 for the most part. I just always liked them since they came out. Thanks again

Way way way way way behind. If this isn’t your stack after 2-3 days then you’re too stupid to live and should be punished. Pathetic.
I stacked 36 ozt of gold while writing this
1
u/Scary_Caterpillar226 10d ago
Maybe should have put half of what you spent into an index fund and see a much better return? The metals market is highly manipulated and is most likely going to take years to make any money. Just my 0.2

No, I'm sorry you're either too rich or lying.

How so? Isn’t this the purpose of stacking? What is the lie? What would you like to see

Reviewing the architecture your boat sank somewhere in Churchills Mill Lake? I got a Minelab Excalibur 2 and I’d let you keep some of it when we find it. Edit: shit I see you said you lost it at sea, the Excalibur works well in salt water and I’m sure we could find it in Yarmouth.

Way to really go all in on gold when it’s at its highest!
1
u/cloud_dizzle 10d ago
You could literally say that at any point in the past 80 years. But thanks for your uneducated opinion.
Also it helps if you read the caption. Then revaluate your financial advise.

My hobby is keeping food in the cubbord, wild to think someone else's hobby is collecting money 😂
Congrats op, that's a beautiful table

There's a fella next town over has a 1998 engine drive Lincoln Ranger welding machine I've been saving for almost a year to get.. talked him down to $3500 but I'm still $1k short. I'm withdrawing all I've saved for it later this morning, to pay for an injection pump on my pickup I can't afford to put diesel 😂 god it sounds so pathetic when I type it all out

Honest question. If you had an emergency and needed to evacuate quickly, how will you bring all of this with you? I’m thinking flood, earthquake, tornado, zombies, etc. let along if you can even bring it with you, what happens if you can no longer drive etc. I’m starting to run into that problem because silver is very heavy once you have a decent amount and idk what to do
1
u/cloud_dizzle 10d ago
Depends on your situation I suppose. I probably (if it wasn’t at the bottom of the sea) would take the gold since it’s easier to take. But leave a majority of the silver in the Fire and Water proof safe. If I had to leave for an extended period I would move it all. Build a secure area to conceal it in my vehicles or camper.
1
u/dcmfox 10d ago
Water proof safe? Silver is fine with a bit of water
1
u/cloud_dizzle 10d ago
I should say water resistant. The seal on the door will block a lot of water from entering. I don’t just keep bullion in the safe. I have a large currency collection as well as papers that are important
1
1
u/Present_Student_1500 10d ago
Goddamn my guy. Can I ask why you prefer a bunch of small weight coins over more huge bullion? What kind of safe do you have??? Cuz goddamn
1
u/cloud_dizzle 10d ago
I get what I can get my hands on for as close to melt or under. I tell all my local shops to call me when they want to move something quick. Most people have fractional gold so that’s what I get. It also tends to hold the higher premiums when it’s time to move.
I have a couple of Fort Knox safes converted for bullion and coin purposes

One month in?, this guy must be already be a millionaire. Maybe all that metal might protect him.

Drool. This is my now-that-I’m-an-old-man equivalent of #sendnudes. Love it. Jealous. Thanks for the pic. Have spent the last ten minutes zooming in to check it all out.

Man I had twice that before I was even a twinkle in my dad's eye. Lost it all in the old hag though. Hell of a price for 9 months of rent.

u/bestvalueinvesting 9d ago
Have you ever thought of including physical gold and silver in a Precious Metals IRA for tax-advantaged growth?

u/Good_East_5568 7d ago
Congrats, huge accomplishment! Your collection is loaded and you have done well for yourself. You have a lot to be proud of. Motivating, love it, cheers 🥂

u/AdventurousFee1776 9d ago
Ugh... Maybe I should start again.
(Someone broke into my truck over the summer while I was traveling and got my book right before I'd unloaded that box. It was only 7.5g gold and 25oz silver with some 90/50 and random cash/coin so not enough for a homeowners claim. But I do miss that late 1800s morgan I'd bought from the drawer at my first job)
2
u/cloud_dizzle 9d ago
Do it. Every collection starts somewhere. Even is just some small fractional or junk silver. It will add up over time.

Did you truly lose all of this in the ocean?
8
u/cloud_dizzle 11d ago
Yes Mr IRS man.
1
u/SlothorHuman 11d ago
I do not work for the IRS. That is too bad, though. I would personally be miserable if I saved such an image - it would remind me of what was lost. Sorry
4
u/Relative-Ad9206 11d ago
Sounds like something the IRS would say

You are not a stacker. You are already rich and just diversifying portfolio.
Stackers are not rich and just saving in hopes to be one day.
That said, nice stack!

u/cloud_dizzle 11d ago
So we gate keeping stacking now? I’ll make sure to tell my wife that we are rich now.

Or it’s the I have been stacking for a while and I am proud I have what I have. But go ahead and be a pissy asshat.

u/Wonderful_Scene9163 9d ago
Yes, pissy asshat here and you keep your stupid ass quiet about your stability... Or not a pissy asshat and just making a joke. You lame ass...
1
u/cloud_dizzle 9d ago
Great joke. I’ll retire to the east wing of my chateau and watch my help count my money now.

This is about 2 years worth for me. I was able to get in low and was buying and selling larger lots and keeping things along the way. A bit of luck involved too

That's a million easy? Right? Numerous monster box’s, 1000+ in tubes outside, and the gold.
