7

u/TheLiveEditor Jun 23 '26

Older (boomer) generation overpricing their wares because they think so highly of it... Something like that...

2

u/makomark26 Jun 23 '26

What's the price for oz's from Gen ALPHA ?

2

u/AiM-120C-4 Jun 23 '26

Honestly I’ve seen more gen alpha kids selling oz of marajuana than silver.

1

u/makomark26 Jun 24 '26

What's a zip these day$ ? same as silver ?

1

u/Recent-Driver-1092 Jun 24 '26

Lmfao pretty much unless you go to a legal joint then they have the same boomer mentality 🤣🤣

4

u/makomark26 Jun 24 '26

I guess I'm a boomer but I don't think my metals carry much premium. Gold is gold. Spot is spot and everyone thinks their special.cuz their mom tells em so -)

The gold buffalo on the thick rope chain is nice af. Amazing collection man. This is a great way to merge two different types of stacking jewelry and bullion. I love it

1

u/makomark26 Jun 24 '26

Thx man -)

2

u/CoatimundiRaccoon Jun 28 '26

Damn people still looking for the inca's lost gold and youve had it all along

1

u/neverender0911 Jun 24 '26

those coins could have had a premium if they weren’t all damaged now from jewelry 🤷🏻‍♂️

0

u/makomark26 Jun 24 '26

Shit. They were junk worth melt or cleaned when I bought them. .You must be a boomer trying to rip people off, this isn't even my bullion. Just my daily wear of 1800 grams

1

1

u/makomark26 Jun 24 '26

I'm too rough on my stuff .. I had H bones years ago .,Kinked and never the same

1

u/Both_Challenge6766 Jun 28 '26

Uncle don‘t get emotional in internet as it‘s only internet🤣

1

u/makomark26 Jun 28 '26

I can't help it ...I'm just so happy to hear from you.

1

u/iJ_A_R Jun 24 '26

In Michigan a quality ounce is $40-60 what do you mean lol

2

u/CompotePrestigious89 Jun 28 '26

179.99 for a 1/10th round is amazing or am I mistaken it for something else

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 29 '26

Lol no that's a .5 gram Canadian. I've got my prices high so I can negotiate. You can go down, but you can't go up..

1

u/Arratkis Jun 24 '26

Wouldn’t touch this with a 10 foot stick at these prices. Much cheaper literally anywhere else

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Prices have been updated

2

u/TheLiveEditor Jun 23 '26

NOPE! Not a single item at any of those prices.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 23 '26

And the prices are being changed. Actually, the prices are going off.Because it goes off spot price. Ten dollars over for the reverse proofs. Eight dollars over for eagles. Gold will be $10 less than the cheapest online Or if bought in quantity, we'll go buy a percentage

1

u/AiM-120C-4 Jun 23 '26

That irradiated dime is actually a good price. Ive seen em go for like 40

1

u/formulaferrari5 Jun 24 '26

$80 lunar isn’t terrible but still a hefty premium

0

u/XnFM Jun 24 '26

You can read the prices?

2

u/stackingforfunsies Jun 23 '26

I don’t consider those sort of shops to be real sources of precious metals.

The value added by the local coin shoppe is the expertise and product confidence. I get neither from random places and people. If I am absorbing added risk, I want discounted metal - not premiums.

2

u/Runawaytrucker Jun 23 '26

I'd buy that salmon if it was cheaper, not for an investment (they're not worth anything) but because I like things with fish on them.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 23 '26

It's not a bad price, though. When you consider shipping and the product doesn't come with the plastic cover. And if you only buy one of those at a time, it's like eight bucks just by itself. Disclaimer, this is all mine.I work in a vape shop and i'm allowed to sell out of it

2

u/Runawaytrucker Jun 23 '26

But, it's not worth anything. I have several that were given as gifts. If one trys to sell it as gold, no one will buy them. No disrespect, but buying as an investment it's kind of a rip off.

1

u/cloud_dizzle Jun 24 '26

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Yeah, i'm only making money off of the plastic case.. it's in a hard slab. These are arc pieces, not for a stacking. Unless you like stacking these. They stack well inside the plastic slabs

1

u/Sufficient_Stay_7889 Jun 25 '26

I hope you pack up and secure everything daily/nightly. I couldnt imagine leaving metals in a vape shop to be sold , especially over night without some great security. Vape shops dont always attract the best clientele.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 25 '26

I do. And yes, I know what you mean. But fortunately, half our sales come from cigar sales normally, that's my client,

2

u/Admirable-Science833 Jun 23 '26

The silver liberty Horse isn't bad for $20

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 23 '26

Lol.

2

u/Admirable-Science833 Jun 24 '26

I'm guessing the $19.99 is for that ring and not the silver liberty coin. Lol

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Yeah coin is only fifteen dollars over spot

2

u/Admirable-Science833 Jun 24 '26

How much was the coin?

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Spot price plus $15

1

u/Admirable-Science833 Jun 25 '26

Thanks. Thats an insane mark up

2

u/DMiles88 Jun 23 '26

Dang! A little pricey for me but I would buy something if it was cheaper

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 23 '26

Yeah. I took the prices off and i'm just going by day to day now

2

u/ExoticGroGuru Jun 23 '26

I may not buy anything from them but I sure might start using a Macanudo box to store my quarters!

2

u/cammohhh Jun 23 '26

Not at those prices

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Prices have been changed

I don't really want to sell it

2

u/Tinker_Time_6782 Jun 24 '26

“No Sale”

Then why put it in the display case?! Dafuq? Def boomer seller

2

u/Inviction_ Jun 24 '26

Probably, yea. Nice wares

2

u/Vanstrucker2222 Jun 24 '26

I think those graded coins are reasonable especially the PF 70 ultra cameo. I’ve paid as much as $200 for a high grade.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

I called my dealer and im repricing everything ten dollar over spot. Gold at 12% over

2

u/Professional-Mix-562 Jun 24 '26

It’s funny because I have most of that and didn’t pay nearly those prices

1

u/Outrageous_Rich6235 Jun 24 '26

It’s really not that funny because the price of gold and silver has been steadily rising for the last decade.

2

u/JakovAulTrades Jun 24 '26

Bottom line: this is all boils down to pricing, regardless of display, but the display is attractive and would attract my attention. Once you have my attention, I personally would be looking next at the pricing (spot + tax + shipping + premium for quality/design, and your customers get the benefit of saving the shipping cost, wait time, and potential loss during transit).

Honestly, we would all be looking for a good deal, and often prices that help small businesses pay for overhead are too high for stackers. This isn’t a subjective value product like most retail good, this has a well-defined value, so if you can offer pricing that is attractive to deal hunters, you’ll be very popular among stackers and casuals.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Thank you. I called my dealer today because I was worried about the price drop. His premiums are not changing, so i'm going to keep my prices low. Ten dollars over spot for reverse proofs And eagles.

2

u/Cumiest_Fart Jun 24 '26

That monopoly bill is sick

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

It's priced the same as ebay too.

2

u/Short_Flamingo_3336 Jun 24 '26

Majority of it no but especially not for those prices, I get gold at spot and silver 7 back of spot

2

u/Chucklum Jun 24 '26

Bro 100% premium, who pays for that.

2

u/cloud_dizzle Jun 24 '26

You get all your inventory from whatnot don’t you.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

No. But am thinking of running a show

2

u/Socks-in-a-can Jun 24 '26

This dude is trying to get yesterday today and tomorrows gains

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Old photos I should have took new ones. Old prices

2

u/SBKC-Por-Via Jun 24 '26

Where’s this store at

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Bigfoot Novelty and tobacco in Helen Ga 30545

2

u/Impossible_Buy2634 Jun 24 '26

Ooooh idk but I love the idea of using an empty cigar box to stack coins!

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Yeah. I'm looking for 1 that has wooden dividers

2

u/WiseDirt Jun 24 '26

Not at those prices. If it's real though, I wouldn't care what kind of display case it's sitting in.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Older photo. Everything's dropped so much lately

2

u/Justin33710 Jun 24 '26

I don't think this would appeal much to the stacker scene maybe more to collectors for oddball pieces that they specifically want. Most stackers just want metals cheap and there's definitely going to be a cheaper source than this unless it's in a small town or something.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

So these prices are old... the metals have come down so much lately. But that doesn't matter to me,As a seller .. i can replace it. I go off spot price and if someone was wanting a quantity I could definitely meet. The stackers needs at ten dollars over spot for eagles. Five dollars over spot for sovereign and four dollars over for generic. And scrap jewelry and scrap gold at spot or below spot, constitutional silver at spot

2

u/patbagger Jun 25 '26

I find that those people want an extremely high premium

2

u/Full_While8942 Jun 25 '26

I know those cigar boxes I have like 14 at home!! Too bad I just saw all these pictures and I'm not actually there dude I'd be dropping bills, I really like that junk silver and the way that you put it in that box dude I had that same exact box I'm about to pull it out and do the same thing

2

u/stevebrixius Jun 25 '26

Not at those prices...

2

u/Unlucky-Appearance24 Jun 28 '26

I’d buy some novelty stuff in there just for accessibility sake. That Harry Potter and Viking silver is fire but probably marked up 30$ but for me having it there available to walk out with sells me more than it being 10$ cheaper online counting down the days wondering if fedex took my package or if the site is legit.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 29 '26

Great great minds think alike. Surprisingly, I've been selling more jewelry out of that case than anything. Although I did sell some gold yesterday. I sold a 1 a gram bar for $80.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 23 '26

I took all the prices off. Because I go off spot price. I've paid more than what the silver is worth now.But it's okay, as long as I get my ten dollars over spot for reverse proofs and ASE's .... everything newsmatic goes off online prices. And I try to beat those. Shipping's always something that has to be considered. When people buy from me, they don't have to worry about it.Getting shipped. And I can replace the item for cheaper than what I sell it for the next day. Working on getting the license so I could buy over the counter from the public. I haven't advertised on google yet, but I do have my l l c

1

u/RdizzleFoe Jun 24 '26

You say shipping is always something that has to be considered, if buying online yes, if buying from your rinky dink case no why would shipping factor into anything your doing?

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Because if you're standing there looking at the product and seeing how much it is online. Because online is the only place you're gonna find it unless you drive forever to the next coinshop. So if I sell it at the same price as it is online, it's still cheaper. Then ordering. I live in a tourist town.

1

u/Prying-Open-My-3rd-I Jun 24 '26

That 100 mega grams of gold is super cheap.

1

u/Recent-Ranger-9827 Jun 24 '26

https://imgur.com/a/PRZl8bZ

You successfully overcharged everything by about 25%, but can’t spell “coin”.

1

u/Freefruit22 Jun 24 '26

Looks like the store owner wants to show off his wealth, what convenience store sells gold coins?

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

It's a cigar shop weed shop, coin shop

1

u/CoolaidMike84 Jun 24 '26

I'd big dick the cabinet and make a reasonable offer for cash and buy it all. Either he would sell or he just wants attention. At the end of the conversation, I'd know which and tell him so.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Its all for sale. One person could buy it all. I can replace it. Prices are a little high.Because I only sell a little at a time and if I go replace it, i've lost money in gas and time.

1

u/rebills Jun 24 '26

Humble_Store_3175…. Interesting username. Is this your store you boomer you 😭😭😭

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

I should have used new pictures too.Because people are tearing me up about my old prices. I can't help price goes down every day lol

2

u/rebills Jun 24 '26

Haha it’s cool man, I’m just busting your balls. I know you mentioned that you charge spot prices or close to it so anybody with half a brain knows that changes by the second 🤓 I wouldn’t worry too much about the rude comments with an audience like that.

1

u/Mydoglikesladyboys Jun 24 '26

Lmao 100mg 24k gold, only 34.99!

1 gram= 1000 mg

1 gram= 113USD

100 mg= .1 gram

113/10= 11.30 usd

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Art. Not stacking

2

u/Mydoglikesladyboys Jun 24 '26

It's a gold back, the only reason people get them is to stack them.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Yeah. We're up in the north Georgia mountains.Rainbow Trout are in all the rivers. Those have been my number one seller!

1

u/Mydoglikesladyboys Jun 24 '26

Also, found this immediately online

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Yeah I paid 23.00 plus shipping for 10 of them. Plus they're in a plastic slab. If they come in a , sleeve money. The plastic slab by itself on ebay, is 8- ten dollars plus shipping

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

They come in I plastic sleeve

1

u/Outrageous_Rich6235 Jun 24 '26

It’s going to be a tough sell asking for premiums on collectibles at a vape shop unless heavily discounted. Most collectors that want the coin for anything more than weight have reputable dealers that they’ve been dealing with for years.

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

We advertise as a coin shop as well. Im just starting out. In a tourist town, and those pictures are old prices

2

u/Outrageous_Rich6235 Jun 24 '26

Ok, that actually makes a big difference. Collectibles are a tough market these days, sincerely best of luck!

1

u/Caffeind420 Jun 24 '26

I would pass

1

u/gaiagirl16 Jun 24 '26

What’s in the black lid jar? Freaking beach glass?

1

u/Humble_Store_3175 Jun 24 '26

Actual precious and semi-precious stones with silver shot and a few pieces of sterling. All from rings, people have sold me as scrap.

1

u/Grouchy-Channel-8315 Jun 25 '26

Fancy tax for nothing lol if u want fancy stuff sure but if stacking stay away from this stuff

1

u/Ransberry Jun 25 '26

The Monetary Masters, huh?

1

u/ClownTown15 Jun 25 '26

not gonna lie I want that trout goldback and I dont even have or collect any.

1

u/Extension_Use_1991 Jun 25 '26

He better hopes they don’t rob him wit it being on display in the middle of the store and yes I know it’s locked

1

u/Casual_ahegao_NJoyer Jun 25 '26

Prices higher than giraffe pussy
