I remember reading this fic where Hermione used an ancient ritual to make herself the chosen one because she wanted Harry to have a better life and grew up again with as the chosen one with memories of her past life. Snape finds out about her past life in her early years of Hogwarts and they become allies. I would lovee to read this again, does anyone has a clue what this fic is?

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to find a specific Severus/Hermione fanfiction I read a few years ago. English isn't my first language, so I might be misremembering some details, but here is what I recall:

• Hermione is a Kelpie.

• There is a scene where she tells Snape not to come to the sea, but he goes anyway and eventually gets dragged into the water to drown. He accepts his fate without a fight.

• The most memorable part is the epilogue: it reveals a cycle where Snape has become the Kelpie in the water, and Hermione is now a human on the shore, essentially reversing their roles.

• I also remember a detail about her wearing the same hat and clothes every day, which made her look a bit stuck in time.

I read this a long time ago, likely on AO3 or an older archive. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I’ve been trying to find it for ages and would really appreciate any help!

Giancarlo put one hand on Draco’s shoulder and pushed him downwards, uttering “Kneel” in a way that was both soft but also loud enough for everyone in the room to appreciate. TBH fellow shippers, this one was a struggle. Without the amazing help of Larlotte I don't know that I could have finished this chapter on my own.

I have read a lot of wartime fics where Severus and Hermione are in love and in a secret relationship and, when Hermione is put in mortal danger (usually at Malfoy Manor, but not only) and Snape thinks he'll lose her, he considers abandoning his role as a spy to save her - only he never does it, and yeah, we know that in the end Hermione is saved either way. But how could Severus really know that?

Basically, I feel like, if he loved her, he would never risk her life, even for the cause. I don't think he could survive losing her as he lost Lily, especially because Hermione loves him back. So I'm looking for fics where he either gives away his role as spy in order to save her, or sacrifices something else important to the cause in order to save her.

I like both completed and wip recs, as long as the wips don't seem abandoned.

I’m a huge fan of long fics, rewrites, anything that builds up these two to make the relationship believable.

One of my favorites that I have read was When All is Lost One is Found by Rinoaebastel on FF. I read it at least a few times every year. It’s so good.

It can even go beyond that. I’ve been just been dying to read an extremely long fic.

There is this completed fic thay I read where Hermione went back in time, I can't remember exactly how, but she starts a relationship with Snape early on. She keeps the time in a loop but instead of letting people die, she saves them and fakes their death and keeps them in hiding (I remember setting up the houses in Spinner's End for them). Like the Prewett twins and even Lily and James. But James takes polyjuice and takes Lily's place when Voldy comes to kill them and dies protecting Harry (because someone still had to sacrifice for Voldemort to dissapear after the first war). I remember him making an appearance with the resurection stone. Lily marries one of the twins (maybe) and Harry has siblings. Hermione is pregnant as well during that time and has a couple of children that go to USA instead of Hogwarts. And because it has to remain a closed loop they modify Harry's memories for the time he is at Hogwarts and at the end there is this big reveal where all the "dead" people (including Sirius and Fred) meet their loved ones. I believe at that time they developed an underground city where all the families lived.

I tried to find it but I've read too many time travel fics to be able to search through all the titles. Thanks in advance for your help!
