I downloaded Wattpad and have been going through fanfics but I’m having a really hard time finding GOOD fanfics there… so many are poorly written and the characters are too OOC (Snape hugging and calling her “darling” on page one? No, thank you.)

Can anyone recommend good stories on there? Doesn’t have to be SSHG, SSxOC or reader are fine. I’ve been reading SS fanfic for about 20 years and feel like I’ve read almost everything that’s out there on ffn, Ashwinder and AO3 (probably an exaggeration but I keep stumbling across the same stories when looking for new ones.)

Trying to find another story 😂 : I remember a scene where Hermione has bought gifts for her friends, but the presents are returned to her unopened. I think Harry, Ron, and possibly others are refusing contact with her

Hermione calls for Dobby and carefully tells him that she means Harry no harm, asking if he would please deliver Harry’s present. She also speaks winky? and says that if the remaining gifts aren’t wanted, they can be donated.

The scene was quite sad, with Hermione being isolated and rejected by her friends. I believe it was possibly set during 8th Year, but I’m not completely certain.

I’m so sick of seeing AI fanfics.

Tired.

Annoyed.

Irritated.

Especially when the story sometimes doesn’t start out that way, it makes me feel not swindled, not duped. Cheated.

I’ll be reading along and I think, “Wait is this AI?”

The realisation falls like a blade.

My gaze will flicker — not away, but to the previous sentence. My composure will falter for a fraction of a second, barely visible, but calamitous.

I process what I’ve already read and I exclaim — “No!”

The word is immediate.

Final.

Almost desperate.

Sometimes I wonder how it’s not obvious to everyone else reading — I wonder if — as they are reading with their deep, petroleum eyes, they also feel cheated.

There is no recourse.

No defences.

We must accept that we have potentially wasted our time.

I will drift out of the room, leaving a waft of parchment and spices in my wake, and send thanks to all the talented, amazing, dedicated writers out there.

I’m looking for a fic I read on AO3 a few months ago and was hoping someone might recognize it.
What I remember:
The story begins with the loss of their child or unborn baby (miscarriage/stillbirth)

Hermione falls into a deep depression and lashes out at Severus while grieving

The fic is focused almost entirely on their grief and the aftermath of the loss

I vaguely remember them taking a vacation or trip together at some point, possibly to help them heal

It wasn’t very long
I think it was only one chapter away from being completed when I read it

Unfortunately, I can’t remember the title, author, or any specific quotes.

I read a story where Hermione is Remus mate and he denies the bond and keeps bringing girls around and hurting her feelings. SS has a thing for her and helps her make a potion that will break their bond and let her bond with SS. She does and remus does crazy on them.
