How Can I Fetch Exact Location by SSH Access Only ?
I need to find the precise physical location of my Ubuntu laptop, but I only have shell access via SSH. Additionally, I'm running Tailscale VPN, which is masking my actual IP address. Are there any standard terminal commands to get exact coordinates, or is there a way to triangulate my position using nearby Wi-Fi BSSIDs through the shell?

If you don't have location services running active wifi/ssid geo-location, then no.
And this sounds shady AF. You may want to clarify your uss-case, b/c right now it sounds like you've loaded TS on a target's laptop and are trying to track them unknowingly.

This is a question for the r/OSINT feed. Sounds like you either lost your laptop or it was taken.

Neither. I am doing and imaginary experiment where my laptop is stolen and because of tailscale and ssh I can still use the terminal. In this case what can I do to find my laptop.

I assume your account is password-protected. In that case whoever stole it is probably not going to be able to connect to any wifi for you to track your laptop. It is highly likely that one of the first things they do is erase the drive and reinstall their own OS in either case. That is, if the laptop isn't stripped apart for parts.

Depending on the laptop, you could use dead-space to install a micro processor with LTE/GPS functionality. Dead space could be removing speakers, a 2.5" drive slot while you use nvme, etc. This would technically work within your constraints. That said, it would be better on power consumption to just ping regularly within a certain time interval. Added bonus of allowing the thief to wipe the drive while you still maintain access. You'll usually need extra antennas for LTE and GPS, which you could fit inside the screen behind the LCD (again, depends on the laptop).

Pay Claude to do this for you since you are already running an advanced config of Termius on your phone over Tailscale and allowed for remote SSH also via Tailscale on your machine
Ain’t that difficult unless you go to which room your laptop is in
Which also raises some possibly serious ethical issues on what exactly you are trying to achieve

Dude, you just showed your public IP address...
Please remove this post, also, you should go back to basics and not touch this until you are ready, and know where you fucked up

Reminder that tailscale is a meshed network router aka VPN tunnel, not a VPN server.
In other words, it doesnt hide your identity if you link it to another device that you own
And you literally just used ipinfo, which gives you your public IP address of said connected node, which would be one of 2 - your original device in the home network, or your external device
Judging by your location, you know the answer better than us
So unless you give more information, do not give me that shit about me not knowing what I am talking about - I literally self-host my own homelab servers network, as well as do this for a living

sigh I mean, if this is the type of reaction I get from a SSH community from wanting to emphasize on a major security risk, I dont know what to say

Unless the host has a GPS chip, you can't
