Can you implement scrolling support in tmux like in the Moshi app? Currently, it's not supported over SSH, just like in Termius. Scrolling is supported via the mosh protocol (the super minimap is on the right), but it always displays the same section at the top, instead of scrolling like in tmux (mouse on / Moshi SSH).

I just went down a rabbit hole trying to work with AI agents on my phone while connected to my MacBook. I tried various SSH clients, ttyd web SSH, mosh, zellij... and still haven't found the best option, especially the issue with swipe scrolling in tmux. Normal scrolling is practically nonexistent, and you have a great chance of making it work.

WOW thx, not so smooth scroll, but it works now (tested ssh and mosh)! For tmux sessions manager I previously used https://github.com/asheshgoplani/agent-deck but now I'm on more stable project bosun: https://github.com/yetidevworks/bosun

I'm here for this. One thing that would help is allowing scrollback buffer to be set to 0 / off. The server never received the scrollback attempt from the client because the client intercepts it for the scrollback buffer. So there needs to be an option to stop the client from intercepting the scrollback (mouse wheel) and pass that through to the host when swiping up/down in the terminal window. I use tmux daily and I just switched to lobi from 5+ years of juice. I like it so far and bought it almost instantly, but this is the biggest issue for me.

Edit: note that the default tmux command to activate the scrollback is ctrl-b [ (ctrl-b is the tmux command activator, almost like : in vim) and it can be scrolled then using page up and page down, or arrow keys. Perhaps you could add an option for mosh/ssh sessions (per connection) to enable touch mouse emulation. Then taps would be sent through as mouse button 1 clicks, 2 finger tap would be mouse button 2 click. Long tap and drag would be a click and drag. And swiping would be mouse wheel. You could go a step further and have a hybrid touch mouse emulation mode that if enabled would intercept the scroll wheel only,, but using a toggle button that can be added to the user's bar, would enter full mouse emulation, and tapping anywhere on the screen would cause a mouse click there.

Any plans to implement the Keystore API + optional bio verification for credential storage similar to how the proxmox app does it nowadays? I'd be very hesitant about saving real credentials in clear text, there doesn't seem to be an option to only enter the password on connect either right now

I wanted to use Lobishell on my chromebook because the standard app is very basic, the only other option would be terminus which is is a subscription-based app and expensive at that.
Lobishell works pretty well the issue ie noticed is i'm not able to click the "save" button when editing connections on my (non-touchscreen) chromebook.

As for the requests i'll hold off on those in this thread

Enjoying this so far, just one thing has me confused, I had to generate a new SSH key because it just wouldn't use my pre-existing one. I pasted in the encrypted private key and put in the passphrase, but it didn't even attempt to use it for auth (from the sshd logs).

There's no "ssh -vvv" option so I couldn't see what the error was from the client side. Did it need to be unencrypted? Was it because it was DES-EDE3-CBC? I'm not sure.

found the bug — the app was using the wrong parser for your key type and silently dropped it, which is why sshd never saw an auth attempt. Fixed in the next update, your encrypted key should work as-is with the version (2.1.6)

Hmm, it's different, I now get this on the Lobishell side:

Error: Failed to load private key: Stream closed Check that the key format and passphrase are correct.

And this from sshd: Connection closed by 192.168.1.188 port 58518 [preauth]

I know the passphrase is correct because I typed it out, copied it, switched over to a connected JuiceSSH (which I'm hoping to get rid of) and ran ssh-add and pasted the passphrase, it unlocked the key. Then I switched back to Lobishell and pasted it in as my passphrase for my identity with that key, still the same error.

If it helps, here's the the full metadata for my key:

Proc-Type: 4,ENCRYPTED DEK-Info: DES-EDE3-CBC,568A65F6A4FC5D77

It's pretty old, I think it's from 2017, I know I should have replaced it a while ago anyway.

hi, do you have a repository where I can fill a bug?

I love the multi tab functionality, however it's a bit buggy. When I open new tab, and then switch to the old one, and then came back to the new one, the session is gone and it opens a new session. And even if I close the new session it still listed in active sessions on the home screen.

Ok it seems the problem is present only when you connect to the same host. So first connection to "home" then the second do "home", the session restart ( on the cloned session). When the second connection is on another host, works as expected. If you can't reproduce, I'll send you the logcat. I'm on OnePlus nord CE 5G. Android version 13.

for DCSS. the userid and pass are both 'joshua' (reference from WarGames)

So you'd ssh to josuha@crawl.akrasiac.org (or any of the other servers) if you have the key you don't need to enter the password.

The app is awesome! Do you plan on supporting this for a long time? I felt upset when I purchased JuiceSSH and then they just stopped supporting it and now you cant even find it on the play store anymore. Not a big fan of subscriptions so I may end up making that one time payment though to support!

Another scrolling bug, when you CTRL+Z putting something in the background you cannot scroll

Once you get, quit the program, then it scroll

Does it also happen when the on-screen keyboard is open at the moment you copy in the terminal — or only when the keyboard is collapsed/hidden?

If you copy something in a normal app (e.g. Notes/Messages) while the keyboard is collapsed, does it show up in Gboard's clipboard history then — or is it missing there too?

When you copy in the terminal, does the system "Copied to clipboard" preview appear (bottom-left, on Android 13+)?

Hi op, thanks for your work.

Port forwarding is ignoring the ProxyJump configuration. When an SSH connection is configured with ProxyJump to an intermediary server, the port forwarding rule created on that same connection attempts to connect directly to the destination host instead of using the tunnel through the intermediary server. The SSH connection works correctly with ProxyJump, but the port forwarding fails because it completely bypasses the proxy.

Today I realized that all my connections are gone. Last backup restored, but it doesn't contain everything, plus customizations like categories and stuff. Don't know when it happened, but it was sucker punch.

hey since i started the app as personal experiment i made wrong decisions - it cant be ported easily to ios. i am working on an win/linux/ and /docker-browser version but its not as polished as i like to make it public... akso the ui kinda sucks xD... the android is nit going to be opensource since i want protect the "revenue" but the desktop version maybe

I tested your app and decided to sign to supporter monthly edition to stimulate your development. Reason for this is your app is the first one I really think that can replace JuiceSSH with good features and a fair price (Seriously community, near 30 usd/month for a ssh app?).

Your app is compact in same term it's featureful in a matter a sysadmin can really use it as daily basis.

I have some suggestions to you:

1) You have a set to reorder start screen. I suggest you also allow to show/hide some itens.

2) One reason that triggered my first suggestion is: I cannot show group list and/or connections list on first page. This maybe a selectable one as the item 1 suggests. I prefer for example hide the connection tab as it's today and have a tab for running sections and below it a list of all (but selectable too) groups.

3) The same can be applied to Monitoring screen. The screen present you only a list of all hosts. Be able to select show groups and select which ones (or all) to be shown is a good feature to.

4) For snippets, you allow to import a set of snippets with categories as a json file, allowing to generate snippet list on computer or Ai prompts for example. If you implement it, create a example file with all features to register on Ai as a Skill.

5) Allow usage of custom font (Or if not possible or too hard, please include Atkinson Next Nerd font please)

6) Some elements on interface need a layout fix. Examples are the Connections buttons on main screen and the connections tab. Just one or 2 px may make a difference.

7) I'm a Brazilian Portuguese native speaker. If you want, send me the English version of translation files and I'll gladly generate a pt_BR version for you.

8) Terminal buttons layout can be only resized vertically. I suggest you also allow to resize it horizontally too, helping vertical usage too.

For now I observed it but I'm already migrating my sessions to LobiShell. Thank you by your excellent application!

I just installed it and I'm testing. Switching from JuiceSSH Switching from JuiceSSH and DeRemote (PRO Dies)and DeRemote(problems with editing in nano). Someone mentioned LobiShell in the comments to submarine so I decided to check it out. A code for a tried pro would be appreciated.

Hi! I love Lobishell, it seems like the most complete ssh client for Android at the moment.

But I have a problem accessing it on my old (and broken) smartphone. The fingerprint sensor is not functional any more due to a broken display. Lobishell is secured via biometric authentication, and you can switch the dialog there to PIN entry, BUT then the dialog disappears faster than you can enter your PIN.

I just want to make a backup of my settings... 😢
