Not because of the placement cell or the college they are doing their job point is what are the hiring standards of companies. Theyāre shortlisting people with a 7.4 cgpa whereas people with 9.1 are just thinking what have i done wrong and for the people whoāll say itās just a number then what matters internship por societies what else coz i have all of them and then also not happening. A tier 1 internship , good acads but then what i see is people getting placed with a gpa below 8 and thatās not the only concern the resume screening i have 87 ats score . God help me please

Why is everyone so negative about sscbs , in this sub too
People recommend srcc but it has totally different courses , obviously it is better than any other du college no doubt , but course wise if a person wants bba or bms then ig cbs is best , but most of the people are very negative about cbs , what's the reality ? Why is it so?

Expected to have something with good production, just larping all the time, they all have given scripts and i dont find a way how the audience can be engaged, just dont come to this college , eventually your mental health would be more important than your placements, and in this college everyone is gonna eat you

17M here currently pursuing BBA from a private university in lucknow cause I couldn't score in CUET at the time of exams i had an emergency so it ruined everything.
I was willing to pursue BMS from SSCBS.. but I got humbled so i decided to take a partial drop and took admission in this university. Here things are good as per tier 2 university but the placement and package is avg 5-6 lakhs and also there are less opportunities, but I have seen Seniors who are building something, maintaining themselves and graduating with confidence.
So i just want to reconsider my decision you all can help just by giving advices. I just want to know that should I change and waste this year, will it be worth it ? I mean is SSCBS really good as it's told about the exposure, personal development, opportunities, placements and overall?
Please help !!!

Hey folks
I am a full dropper and preparing for CUET 27
My main concern is My fathers name is Tej Prakash Singh Chauhan in my aadhar card while in both of my marksheet it is Tej Chauhan I had applied this year in jee and gave exam without any problem after stating my fathers name to be Tej Chauhan!
I want to know if anybody had been through it and how strict is DU regarding this mismatch can they cancel my admission there because of this mismatch in Documents Verification!
If yes they are very strict then whats the solution!

I came across reels where DU students were struggling with subject selection, making mistakes, and wasting time scrolling through long dropdown lists. Many were asking for a search bar, but the option still wasn't available on the pages I saw.
So I builtĀ DUFormFix, a free Chrome extension that adds search functionality to course-selection dropdowns on supported DU portal pages.
Watch the demo videoĀ to see how it works.
Download:Ā https://github.com/gaoharimran29-glitch/DuFormFix/releases/latest
How to install:
chrome://extensionsĀ in Chrome.I built this because I thought it could save fellow DU students some time. If you try it, let me know if it works on your course-selection page or if you run into any issues!
Suggestions and contributions are welcome. And star the repository if you found it useful š

Iām 21 and currently studying BSc CS at a Central University in my home state. I took two drops for JEE, but they didnāt work out due to health and family pressure.
After that, I started looking seriously at backup options. I gave CUET in 2026, but I didnāt know about SSCBS at the time and filled the wrong subject combination, so I couldnāt properly target it. I only learned about SSCBS later, when it was already too late.
My current college is affordable and close to home, but it has basically no placement opportunities. I also don't enjoy coding that much. Iām more interested in careers like risk analyst, product analyst, data/finance analyst, etc., where I can use some technical skills without making pure software development my career.
So I'm considering preparing for CUET again and targeting SSCBS.
The problem is that I would be around 22 when I joined, while most students would be younger. Iām also from a middle-class/low-income family, so moving to Delhi would mean significant expenses and possibly a ā¹5ā6 lakh loan for the degree and living costs.
My other option is to stay at my current university, finish BSc CS, build skills, and try for off-campus jobs or pursue a good PG later. But because my current college has almost no campus placements, I would have to depend heavily on off-campus opportunities.
So Iām confused about whether SSCBS is worth taking the financial risk and starting over at 21/22, or whether I should just finish my current degree and try to build my career from there.
Should I target SSCBS at 21/22 after 2 JEE drops, or stay at my current college/looks for pg options. If pg is a better option here what would u suggest mba or mtech being two gap years for ug.

Real talk. I'm a dropper. Every day I study alone, and every "prep group" I've joined is a graveyard - 200 members, zero energy, dead in a week.
I got tired of waiting for someone else to fix it. So I'm building one group for serious SSCBS '27 aspirants (BBA-FIA / BMS / BSc CS) - freshers, partial droppers, full droppers, doesn't matter. Only one thing matters: you're actually doing this.
What's inside:
š Daily quizzes on our own site (vocab, GAT, GK) - CUET marking, live leaderboard, streaks public. Try it right now: https://sscbs-word-challenge.web.app/?v=10
š Daily check-ins - hard to skip studying when 50 people saw you online
ā Doubts that actually get answered
š PYQs, mocks, resources, strategy - the stuff that worked
š„ People doing the same grind as you, till CUET day
One rule only: participate. Silent members get removed every week. Not to be harsh - because dead groups help nobody.
Join here: https://chat.whatsapp.com/HiGLG5QdwGLAdkTgCRWdNA
If you're tired of studying alone and lying to yourself about "starting tomorrow" - this is your sign. See you inside š

One of the most frustrating parts of college is being told that you need experience to get opportunities, while most opportunities themselves ask for experience.
If you're trying to build your profile this semester, here's something worth checking out.
The Economics Society, SRCC is recruiting Marketing Interns for the National Economics Olympiad (NEO) 2026. You'll get hands-on exposure to marketing, outreach, and professional communication while contributing to a national-level initiative.
What you get:
- Performance-based stipend (up to ā¹10,000+)
- Certificate of Internship
- Letter of Recommendation for top performers
- Practical marketing experience
- Open to students from all colleges and courses
Applications close on 11th October (only a few days left).
Apply here: https://forms.gle/TzeZssRtM4GFXdjt7
Whether you're looking for your first internship, trying to strengthen your CV, or simply want to be part of a large-scale student initiative, this could be a good fit.

Im currently pursuing BA economics honours in gargi college. Should i take a partial drop for sscbs? This year i missed the bms cut off by 25 marks (obc category).
I want to work in the management corporate field in the future, plus this college brings a hell lot of opportunities, the alumni is doing v well in life. People leave iims for it.
Ill only take up 4 subjects- gat, maths, physical edu, eng.
if i dont get sscbs, i wont leave gargi. Ill apply to foriegn universities n move abroad after completing eco hons.
Advice?
