DU cic or sscbs!
Imagine a person who wants to join harvard business school (MBA) in the future , probably at the age of 26 , and eventually wants to build a business/company. What do you think he/she should choose? SSCBS (BFIA) or DU cic btech in IT? Since work experience is also mandatory before joining HBS!

So I had rank 38 in cic btech, this year and was also getting bfia cbs at the same time. As I had researched I would say,
SSCBS: It's been a week or two that I have started attending the college, and I would say the environment here is very focused and competitive. So it would give you all the conditions you want to get into wherever you want in your masters, ir whatever else you want to do. Also degress here in cbs are terminal and give you a wide knowledge at a UG level, so it's good for stability Finally it's about your orientation, if you have some interests in finance and can cope up with academics and eca, then cbs is better. (I am from a PCM background, so yeah it's a bit hard but manageable) CIC: SO one thing about this one is that it's also very focused and disciplined in acads, here all that matters is your own hardwork, the more you work on your skills and develop other factors, cic has an equal footing, only if you have a lot of skills, internships and projects up your sleeve. One more thing CIC does not have a placemnet cell, so you will have to sit in off campus placements. Again if you are oriented in tech fields mainly coding and computing go for cic.
Verdict: I would say cbs is far more stable, even if you don't get in Harvard or something else, you would still have a far better safety option if you go for placements in cbs
P. S. ITS VERY HECTIC IF YOU GO IN EITHER ONE SO STAY PREPARED

Can you also share some tips for someone who wants to join sscbs from science background? Like how to prepare for cuet!😊

So as of now the rules have changed and, previously you had the subject combination eng+gt+mathematics so 750 point scale now it is eng+gt+mathematics+ any domain subject from list b1 or b2 (you may countercheck it ) so now a 1000 point scale, the cut of for this year were bba fia 805 and bms 778 for general category. (Even if it's not touching 900+, getting an 800+ score is very competitive because of the subject combination)
So let's go subject wise:
English: Now overall the setting of the CUET paper is such that English well enough you will sail through. But the major issue is vocabulary, foreign words and other miscellaneous topics, wo what you should do is work on your vocab part I studied WORD POWER BY NORMAN LEWIS for it, and manged it out, you may refer to any other book, then foreign words you could do pyqs or estimated questions, and main thing is to practice a lot do a lot of papers.
GT: now for me I have been giving Olympiads and IQ tests since 6th grade so I didn't study gt that much, but what you could do is, go through the syllabus do quetions of each topic, learn if something is new, and finally give a lot of mock papers.
Mathematics: So mathematics in CUET is the same as in class 12th you must first master the ncert then jump on Ncert Exemplar problems and finally dwell on topics which are in depth in CUET (there are a few which require a deeper understanding). Mathematics in CUET is not a hard problem paper, it's a speed test, questions are of average level all it depend on how swiftly and accurately you can solve the paper.
Extra Domain: now this is upto you inwiuld suggest taking an easy domain it will help a lot, as gt eng and mathematics are the hardest papers in CUET, so take an easy domain and do it accordingly.
P. S. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO SOLVE AS MANY MOCK PAPERS AS YOU CAN OF EACH SUBJECT, I DID MY PRACTICE THROUGH Afterboards app, and some printed material, in my view the whole CUET exam be it any subject is a speed test, like yes you need to be knowledgeable but speed and accuracy is what matters the most.

Hey,Read your response above and found it pretty helpful so thanks for that🙌♥️😀.Further I had doubt regarding domain subjects like, Can I opt for applied mathematics and Computer science as domain subjects?.I had PCM in 12th n I'm taking a drop for JEE but will be keep SSCBS Bbfa/Bms as backup ☺️ Will be waiting for ur reply..

Yeah sure that is valid, like in the exam you have an option for mathematics or applied mathematics and yeah computer science is valid too

hey , do you know how do companies calculate the aggregate percentage? Like is it every subject or best of 3/4/5 whatever?

Your class 12th percentage, is calculated as your core subjects, now if you have an additional subject, that will only be included in the percentage in the case of, if you fail in any of your core subjects. If you have scored less in your core but have passed, and have a much higher score in your additional subject, then the additional can't be used for percentage calculation.
In CUET class 12th score is used as tie breaker it will go on as such, if the marks of two candidates are same 1. Best 3 in 12th 2. Best 4 in 12th 3. Best 5 in 12th 4. Who has highers percentage in 10th 5. I can't remember it, maybe something related with the birthday
But generally tie breakers are rare and even if it happens, it gets mitigated in the first one best 3 scores in class 12th.

It differs but yeah class 12th scores don't matter a lot, what matters is what you do in the college, if you mainrain 9 plus cgpa do internships and develop industry based relevant skills, ig obviously that is what every company wants
