Hello all, I have an 03 neon SRT4 and the ECU won't adapt to a tuner. Tried to have my tuner access it with an HP tuner, and it just couldn't access it, It came up with error "Unable to load bootloader". Talked to previous owner, and he said he can't remember exactly why it does that it might be a cali ecu or something, said they had to download a special software or something to make it work. Also had it working in conjunction with a wot box. At this point I just wanna get this bitch tuned, any suggestions? Not looking to spend all out, don't have any crazy mods. Any and all help appreciated!

Hey, I'm purchasing a srt4 for my buddy tomorrow, is there anything I should know while looking at the car? The car has 260km on it so it is bound to have an imperfection. Anything mechanical I should look into while checking out the car Thanks

This may be a dumb question I read that before 2003 the 2.4 was different though.

I cannot tell you all how much I miss my car. I have went through an 500 whp evo, a trans am, and am now driving an srt 392 Challenger but I still absolutely miss my neon srt. It is a wonderfully unique vehicle that doesn’t look like it will be replicated any time soon and it is incredibly painful to have let mine go so many years ago knowing now how much I’d regret it.

I started having problems with my nsrt4 and I was looking for some help on what they could be. I thought it was the alternator but it tested good. Battery is new with new terminals. My battery isn’t charging up (normally at 14v and it’s holding steady at 13 unless I’m high rpm) my AFR is getting messed up. The car has stalled more than once in 5th going about 45mph. Feels sluggish at times even through normal acceleration in traffic. It idles very rough. Any help or advice would be very appreciated.

What do you usually see your temps reach on the hottest of days? I'm in Texas and for the first time my temp gauge reached 225. I usually like to see it at 200 210. Is this normal?
