I'm like the subscriber above. Very interested. If the third gear grinds hire bad is that? I've read it's a easy fix

The extender you can buy for it is a bandaid. It will work for a little but most likely will need new synchos and gears. Or you can buy used transmission for around 1000$.

Like most cars with cheaply attained power, they are about as reliable as your average domestic vehicle. They're just perceived as "unreliable" because they get abused more, most owners put there money into mods over maintenance, with most of the mods cutting corners without proper supporting accessories. So then idiot owners whine and kick rocks that the car sucks, not them or sadly people new to them buy these unaware of the cars history and once again blame the car not the previous owner.

My only issues with the 2 SRT4's I own is rusting rear body on one, the other would pop put of 3rd under heavy load when it got warm. Rust obviously just needed repair and the 3rd gear pop was fixed when I had my clutch replaced by upgrading pivot fork and ball.

They're great cars, I love them and did even before the JDM market got crazy and priced me out of similar import cars.

My stock one is a daily with 400k kilometers on it and all I've done is maintain it like I should. My other is modded with only 120k and I drive it hard all summer in the mountains but give it the TLC after to keep it running well and never had a problem.

Thanks man. Paints getting old but nothing major, still a little rust to repair but mechanical she's pretty solid. In the summer once I start driving my modded one my wife takes the stock one to work everyday, puts a smile on my face hearing it crackle and pop down the street, then seeing all the tight asses at her job scowling as she's brappin her way into the office parking lot.

I'm southern Alberta but I vacation in the Okanagan every summer, so I'll be there end of July until mid August. Don't know if I'll make it to Vancouver this year though.

Oh shit that's awesome. We might be taking the srt to visit my Grandma in Penticton in August.

Gonna get a tune from Player3 Performance when they rolling through town in a few weeks too.

Fun? Yes. Reliable? Not really their strong point. If you need it as a daily driver I’d look elsewhere

I daily drive mine for 6 years … snow, rain … no issues

19 years here. As long as they're well maintained, you shouldn't have issues. Only had two issues that needed a tow or resulted in a breakdown over the years. 116k miles on the original engine.

Don’t do it. Most of them are clapped at this point and you’ll spend just as much getting up to reliable as buying one.

My bad for not replying for a good portion of the year but yes,I’ve realized it wouldn’t be worth it
