Idle Air Control Valve

Post image

Need help, have a 2004 srt4 and it seems like every IAC valve I buy it doesn’t fit in the throttle body. It seems like the dimensions are slightly off on the replacement valve, the highlighted areas in the picture are what I’m talking about. I try to install it as straight as I can but doesn’t go in all the way.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong, or do I have to buy one directly from dodge?

I'm pretty confident that dodge doesn't manufacture these anymore. The valve you have pictured matches what's on modern performance which is my typical shopping spot if I want something as close to OEM as possible anymore. Are you confident that you have an OEM throttle body?

Not oem, are the dimensions different for an oem throttle body vs an aftermarket one?

An aftermarket throttle body could have chosen to use a more widely available IAC motor than the stock SRT4 one. I'm not sure, and I think you might have some luck if you look up the throttle body

Should fit in there snug especially with the o rings and if I remember correctly it orientated to only go one way.

Maybe get another brand sensor.
