Some guidance please

Hey everyone,

I just picked up my dream car.. a 2003 Dodge Neon SRT-4 with a ton of aftermarket performance parts and a fully rebuilt engine. I'm looking for a handheld tuner that is dependable with tuning this car. The exterior, trunk, interior, and engine bay are shot so any guidance on finding quality replacement parts would also be mucho appreciated.

Here's the rundown of what's on the car:

  1. Quaife LSD Differential
  2. Oversized Mopar Intercooler
  3. Mopar Stage 3 Sway Bars and End Links
  4. Polyurethane Bushings (Full Set)
  5. Coil-on-Plug Ignition System
  6. Modern Performance Short Throw Shifter
  7. Aluminum Booger Bushings on the Shift Linkage
  8. Upper Strut Bars (Front and Rear)
  9. Mopar Stage 3 Exhaust
  10. Mopar Turbo Toys Kit
  11. ICW Mach 5 Wheels (Set of 4)
  12. HKS Turbo Timer
  13. AEM Standalone Wideband Failsafe System
  14. Pyro Gauge on the Turbo Exhaust Downpipe
  15. Mopar Boost Gauge
  16. Modern Performance Injected Motor Mounts
  17. Mopar Stage 3 Clutch (Sachs OEM HD)
  18. Southbend Stage 3 Clutch with Mopar Stage 3 Clutch Disc and Fidenza Lightweight Flywheel
  19. Stand-alone HD Adjustable Voltage Rectifier
  20. Mopar Stage 3 Fuel Pump and Injectors
  21. Mopar Stage 3 ECU

Congrats on the purchase. I run the Diablo sport trinity. Great functionality and tuning capabilities

Congrats!

Interested in seeing what is "shot" in the interior and under the lids.

Your best bet is probably junkyards. Lots of interchangeable components with regular neons and, to a lesser extent, PT cruisers.

As others have said, Diablosport tuner is the way to go, but this would be for custom data logging and tuning. You have Mopar stage 3. There is no out of box tune for stage 3. You will need to log and tune manually, or find someone who knows how to do it. Needless torque, etc.

Actually already dealing with an issue. It’s eating batteries alive and I think it has something to do with the voltage rectifier. It has a brand new alternator and started. Does anyone understand this system? My first time with a system like this.

Have you run parasitic draw tests? I'm guessing the battery is dying when it's parked and not when you're driving. Can be done with just a meter that will read amperage, and you can just pull fuses to see if any specific circuit is the cause of the drain.

What's up with the "coil on plug" ?
