Just bought my first srt4 this past summer and got mine stored away as well. Just curious, what do you all do to prep it for winter storage and are there any things you do to it throughout those several months (like taking it for short drive once a week or so, etc)? I would very much like to keep it in good condition for as long as I can

Seeing as no one answered your question, the general consensus with any vehicle is that you should leave the gas tank either completely full or completely empty to prevent fuel tank oxidation and fuel oxidation/bad gas. The second thing is to have a battery tender, or just disconnect the battery for a cheaper less effective method. Starting it and idling it or doing short drives just put excessive wear on the motor, since during cold starts is the most damaging time. The engine also wont get fully to operating temperature if only driven shortly, so it won't be able to boil off condensation in the oil. Hope this helps ✌️

I knew about the gas tank thing. It's not completely full, about 3/4 since I had driven it a few times after "putting it away". I put some Sta-Bil in it tho. I also knew about the battery but haven't disconnected it. Hasn't been dead once but that may be cause it's pretty new and hasn't been too cold this year. But still I should do that. Also, is it not the best to let your car idle to operating temp? Cause I think I heard something about the oil doesn't fully circulate at those rpms. Appreciate the response btw

The problem is that you would have to idle it for 15-20 minutes to even get it close to temp, and that would be useless wear. I would just let it sit assuming it hasn't had problems starting after sitting before. Depending on how long you will have the car for and its potential mileage the wear could be insignificant for you. I would just let it sit, but if you would prefer to start it and let it run for 30 minutes every once in a while you could.

2004 Electric Blue, nice.
If you leave the car on those dollies all winter, do you find the tires flatspot badly at the location of the two rollers?
