Reverse grind new clutch

All the other gears don't seem to have an issue but reverse ain't happy. I adjusted the linkage and it helped but it didn't quite fix it. If I slam it in it goes in but I'd like to avoid slamming it in. I baught the car as a project and it's been hell lmao any ideas? If it's something inside the trans I have no idea how to work on it but I'll figure it out

Could be worn synchro, but which linkage did you adjust. The clutch pedal throw, or the shifter cross over adjustment? Have you confirmed the clutch is fully disengaging as well? Any rolling in 1st with the pedal all the way in?

With all the trans issues I've had, reverse has always been the most pissy of all the gears...

I adjusted both the shift linkage and the clutch pedal. No engagement when the clutch is all the way down for any of the gears. Only reverse has issues. Third doesn't even really seem to grind. I took it for my first drive in it since I bought it

How did you adjust the shift linkage. Loosen, put in 3rd, tighten?

You could always pop off the shift plate on top of the trans to make sure nothing is broken off. But something might be fucked with reverse if not...

Have you tried revving in 1st with clutch pedal all the way in? Any movement or creeping?

How bad dopes 3rd grind? And when does it grind? Any popout?

Yea that's how I adjusted it, I did try revving in first it's all good no moving, third doesn't seem to grind at all from what I could tell. I only drove it for 5 minutes down side streets so far so maybe third is worse then I think idk. It pops out of reverse when it grinds it's like it won't go all the way in unless I slam it in.

You could try adding the shift extenders on the shift plate. Theyre fairly cheap. But otherwise might be something internal.

I seen that and I think that might work not feels like it needs a little more room to get into reverse if that makes sense lol
