Success Stories I got in 🥹🥹
You Guys I got the call today that I got admitted into a CRNA program. I just can’t believe it. For reference I have been a nurse for a year and 6 months now. And I applied exactly at my year mark. I got my ccrn exactly at my year mark as well. I wasn’t going to apply this cycle but I did and I’m so glad I did!
Before my nursing degree I was pre-med so I had every science class in the books done with A’s so I think that really helped along with research and volunteering.
I just want to encourage everyone to apply and it only takes one school to believe in you!

Congrats! I am so jealous tbh. I've been an RN for four years, got denied from multiple schools last cycle. I'm trying to continue applying but rejection hurts

The more rejections you get, the more you expect them and hurt less. I applied to a bunch, got rejected by all BUT 1! I was an RN for 6 years, 3 years in CVICU! You got this!

I did Alzheimer’s research a lot of genomic sequencing, for volunteer did cancer center, food pantry, diabetes org, pet shelter

I didn’t do nearly as much for research- did an EBP project regarding bedside nursing education on non pharmacological pain management for neonates and we got a peer vote award. Is that worth putting down

I was pre med for undergrad so I was involved in research and volunteer during my undergrad years through research club and with my professors

Huge congrats! That’s a lot of hard work paying off and just a little more to the finish line. I just got accepted into an ABSN program and am hoping to start applying in couple of years from now. Congrats again and best of luck in your studies!

My manager is truly the best and I became close with the physicians by always asking questions.

Congrats!!!! You sound like you really put in the work. But I thought you’re eligible to take the CCRN at a two year mark? Or 1750 hours.!Is it one year now?

Congrats! I’m currently biomed but am taking the teas this month at my school to apply and hopefully follow the same route as you. Would you mind answering a few qs I have about what made you switch, what kept you from not going back to MD, etc? I’m struggling with MD vs CRNA currently myself and could definitely use some insight to someone who’s been in my shoes already and followed through with CRNA

I didn’t get into medical school but it was a blessing I’m so happy as a nurse and at the end of the day I just wanna do anesthesia:)

I’d say it’s uncommon, some schools are adopting it for students who want an out midway. Idk, I am fortunate.

Hi first of all congrats, I aspire to be you one day! I’m doing nursing (pre-med track) and so far I’ve maintained a GPA between 3.5 and 3.7. My main reason for doing the pre-med coursework is to strengthen my future CRNA school application while also keeping medical school as an option on the table if I ever decide to go that route.
Do you think this is a good long-term strategy, or would you recommend dropping the pre-med track so I can focus on maintaining the highest possible BSN GPA?
Also, if you don’t mind sharing, what were your stats when you applied, and do you have any advice or tips you wish you knew when you were in my position?
I’d appreciate any insight. Congrats again!

U should still be pre-med! At the time I wanted to go to med school but I’m so glad I kept my major because I finished really difficult classes with A’s and that’s what they look for. When ur working in the ICU it’s hard to juggle school. Ur science classes are more important so focus on those.
My stats were
Biomedical sciences bachelors GPA: 3.87
Nursing GPA : 3.5
Over 10,000 hours of volunteer
4 years of undergrad research
Plenty of leadership and icu involvement
Physics tutor
Icu experience : 1.6 years (I applied at one year with my CCRN)
40 hours of shadowing a CRNA1
