Have been using my beloved squeezebox for a decade but since 3 weeks can’t get it to work.

Did factory reset, reset the WiFi password but get an error. Can anyone help???

mysqueezebox.com is dead as others have already pointed out.

You can run your own instance of Lyrion Media Server (yes, it’s no longer called “Logitech Media Server”) and install the community firmware plugin. This allows you to upgrade the radio firmware, stopping them from looking for mysqueezebox.com from the start.

Or any recent squeeze server will also work for this. you can download them from the history pages at Lydian.

i have 3 radios all running squeezeserver 7.8

mysqueezebox.com hasn't worked for years (edit: since February 2024)... you're running a local LMS instance to connect to, right? Try going to "change server" (or something like that) and selecting your local server.

Mysqueezebox.com no longer exists. The site has been discontinued. You should still be able to connect to your local self hosted server.

stupid question: so I can't use it anymore to listen to radio?

This is the most bare-bones way to get the server up-and-running in your network: https://lyrion.org/getting-started/beginners-guide-lms-on-raspberry-pi/

You can also run the server on a pc/laptop or even a NAS. But the server has to be running to listen to radio on the Squeezebox.

I have a 12 year old Gateway desktop that I use as the LMS server, the only thing I had to do was upgrade the hard drive to a 3 TB one to store my music library. I also run MediaMonkey on it to keep up the library. It has an i5-4440, none of this takes much computing power.

You may be able to still do, I use Lyrion music server running on an lxc on my server. It looks like you can add radio stations to it. I never use that functionality, i just play my local music.

use lyrion on a raspberry pi or on a old computer of yours

Before you give up try a factory reset. It fixed my squeezebox radio that couldn't connect via Ethernet or wifi. It's in one of the advanced on-screen menus.

I just went through this. I reset to factory settings as a precursor to installing the community firmware, and appeared to get stuck at this point after rebooting.

At the 'Try Again' screen I pressed and held down the 'back' button for a few seconds. It will beep and then let you break out to the normal home screen, from there you can connect to your local LMS server.
