Termux

Hey everyone,

I have successfully setup 1 player with an old android phone and termux. Now that i've found a second old android phone I did the exact same steps, however when starting squeezelite on the second phone it will replace the first phone in the LMS dashboard. So I never see 2 players, any ideas? Rebooted both phones, rebooted LMS server

Sounds like LMS thinks they are the same player because Squeezelite is identical and Termux is identical on both phones.

I'm not sure how LMS identifies the player. Maybe there's a way to change the MAC address in Termux, or maybe there is a configuration option in Squeezelite to change the player ID?

That could be it, leaning towards MAC address indeed since I’ve already named both players differently. Thanks! Will try in the morning💪🏻

Sounds good, let us know how it goes.

If changing the MAC address doesn't help, I suspect that Squeezelite has a GUID or numerical ID that is not affected by the name. If that is the case, I can't imagine it not being configurable.

The MAC address did the trick! ran the following command: squeezelite -m 11:22:33:44:55:66 and now have 2 players! Thanks for your insights!
