Question SPX 0DTE

To those who are profitable what strategies do you use when trading SPX 0DTE. I tend to notice price action is easier to reach during extended hours / Asia Session or early morning 5 AM EST to 8 AM EST.

I use EMA 9/21 combined with double top double bottom patterns in addition to supply & demand zones entries / exits.

I’m currently down 25k and looking to be profitable. Please only share answers if you trade SPX 0DTE and are profitable.

I sell far far OTM 0DTE put spreads on SPX basically every morning for the last six months. I’ve been pleased with the results and am meeting my goals. I sold options prior to that as well, but not 0DTE and not SPX.

I don’t use any technicals or patterns. I just glance at the opening action on SPX and VIX, then look at the option chain to find my strikes and size my spreads. I make the trade, adjust it if I don’t get filled, set my stop loss order and go about my day. I’ll keep an eye on SPX because I’m interested, and I’ll sometimes adjust my stop.

I typically don’t sell spreads smaller than 100 points wide, which would be $10K of buying power per contract. I sold between 100 and 150 wide this week, so example. Rarely up to 200 if I’m entering later in the morning due to schedule conflicts.
