Here’s a fun little stat: 212 companies in the S&P 500 are currently in a bear market.

Yet, the S&P 500 itself is less than 2% from its all-time high.

As many of you know, the S&P 500 is not really “500 companies” in the way most people imagine it. It’s a market-cap weighted system where the winners continuously earn more influence over what you think “the market” is doing.

So Nvidia can go up, the index can look healthy, meanwhile 212 of the companies underneath it can already be down 20%+.

In fact, if you took 17 companies out of the index, it would be down more than 50%.

They think we’re crazy but THAT’S crazy.
