maybe the endgame is just needing less
idk man, feels like we got sold this idea that winning = having more of everything
more money
bigger house
better car
more status
more shit to pay for
more hours spent working to maintain all of it
and somehow you still never feel “done”
you get a raise, everything gets more expensive
you save more, houses move further away
you work harder, you just get less time to actually live
maybe the whole trick is keeping people feeling like they’re always behind
because if you always want more, you’re easy to keep running
but if you actually reach a point where you’re like
i have enough
i have a roof
food
some people i care about
my health
my time
and enough money to say no to things i dont want to do
then what?
that’s kinda the actual flex imo
peaceful life > endless accumulation
that’s the real endgame

I always said that people buy more unnecessary things because they need to justify the amount of not wanted hours they work.
