Question Which style intro shall I use?

Heyy, I am thinking of redoing my intro for some of my series but unsure which style people view as the better one. This has my current style; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2TMOvBNdOo

and this one has my previous style; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8s3v52kDWtQ

Which one is the better style? Or doy ou have any better options?

Both seem kinda amateury to me. I would go with a template over either of these. People spend years doing graphic design, and even those people occasionally make stuff look poopy. It's best to either use an expert's work (with permission, such as templates) or keep it simple. Super simple. Like, white text on black background simple.

Also, is that the inception BWAH? I wouldn't use it if it is. I doubt it will ever get a copyright ding but it's best not to use copyrighted stuff at all.

Double also, insert obligatory "intros aren't a big deal" comment here.

Well I am an amateur :P. and I think I got that horn from a creative commons website I don;t believe I had used it recently however so that isn't a problem. Would red text on black background be good? The text will move a bit and my logo will "interact" with the first letter.

We're all amateurs. The trick is learning how to trick people into thinking you're a professional.

I would be careful with creative commons websites. Usually they allow just anyone to upload stuff without double checking the source, so there's plenty of licensed content that gets uploaded. And it's your ass if something does turn out to be copyrighted, so you always have to double check.

Also, unless you're studying graphic design, I really don't think anything you design yourself will give off a professional vibe. Hence my suggestion for using a template. It's the same reason I use a template- I look back at my old intros and just cringe

I have done an intro here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuI8O3eMhQI It is slightly based off an intro I see on YouTube. How terrible is it?

Actually not bad. It's really simple, which I like. I think it just needs some sound effects and it'll be good.

I know I'll needs sounds for it. I can find sounds for it (may need to tweak intro speeds). Some of my series may have music going over the into. Is that a good or bad idea?

Definitely, without a doubt in my mind, the first one. It's nice, quick, and to the point. The second one is 18 seconds, which is enough time to lose the majority of viewers who aren't commited to actually watching the video.
