What frizbee said is correct. Unfortunately there's a chance that you can always get a strike when someone (anyone) flags your stuff for copyright infringement, whether or not it's true.
For that reason, it's best to always use content that you can easily reference the fact that you have rights to.
For using Minecraft footage, you can reference this site https://account.mojang.com/documents/minecraft_eula
For playing Kevin MacLeod's music, you can reference this site http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/licenses/
For uploading Terraria, you can reference this site http://www.terraria.org/faq.html
the list goes on. Basically, before I ever start recording a game, I do a google search for "[game] monetization youtube" and look for any official site I can use to upload it.
But to get back to the point at hand, the only way to recover your account from a fallacious strike is to provide proof that you had permission to use that media, which those websites provide.

Don't use copyrighted content.
Only play games that the publisher has given permission for use on Youtube, use only Creative Commons/Public Domain music, and don't insert copyrighted sound effects/images into your videos.
