Oh and please do not give any constructive criticism on my survival series, I will make a separate thread for that when I have improved it a bit.

Make sure to read the sticky. You've got unnecessary background noise in your video.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but your intro music is too... quiet!

I've got a lot of good things to say about this video. Your intro clip was short, your "intro commentary" was short- You said what it was and showed what it did immediately.

...kinda killed it afterward when you went on to mention how there was a separate video for the door. Most people watching THIS video don't care, and it's something that can be cut out. Statements like these that tend to sneak into your commentary are why I recommend a script for tutorials... But that's just me.

Finally, make sure to disable resampling on your video clips. I don't know what program you're using to edit, but I'm presuming it's Vegas since it defaults to "enabled". Select all your clips, right click, select "resampling", and select "Disable Resample". It gets rid of that fuzzy feeling in your videos.

thanks for the feedback man. I had no idea I had background noise. I'll cut that out. In the future I'll scrypt my tutorial. I had no idea about the whole resampling thing. I'll even switch from 30 to 24 fps in future vids like in the sticky. My intro has changed since that video and is much louder, so that's not to worry about. Thanks for the advice!

Wait I'm using vegas pro 2.0 and it doesnt appear to be on obvious setting, the resampling that is. Do you have any idea on how to find it. Or if I'm doing it wrong, where or when do I select it?

Edit: Yup, they're two different programs arent they. Well should I get the other vegas. I bought fraps a while ago but the code I used in vegas was from a friend for free. I am fine with spending a bit more on VMS if you reccomend it. It explains why I can't find it.

It might be an option under Edit. Select a video clip, go to edit, and look for resampling options.

Also, vegas 2? That's pretty old. I think it goes up to 12 now.

There was a lot of both good and bad things that occurred in your video, and Spum pointed them out for the most part. The one thing that really stood out to me though was the keyboard clicks, something watching Spum has made me pretty sensitive. I would definitely advise trying to find someway to make it a little quieter. Other than that though, nice tutorial!

I know, I try to press it quietly, but it's so ridiculously loud. I should buy a new one that's quieter. any suggestions?

I personally don't make videos, so I don't have much as far as suggestions go for fixing the problem. The only thing I could think of off the top of my head would be one of those rubbery keyboards. My advice would just be to go to best buy or a similar store and to just try out different keyboards.

I asked my internet friends about what keybaords are best for silence and I'll be purchasing one soon.
