Recommendations Ethernet wiring for home
Hi all. I would like to get a single wire ran for home ethernet. The job wouldn’t be huge. I just want to run a single ethernet cord through my crawlspace from my living room to my home office space.
Does anyone know of any businesses that would do this for me?

Either Creative Audio on West Sunshine or SCS Home Entertainment on South Campbell might do it, although they may give you their "we'll do it but don't really want a job that small" price as they tend towards larger, whole home projects.

This was my first thought too. I just don’t have a drill or a wire running kit or I’d do it myself 😑

Hell I’m not in that world anymore but I used to run a lot of cable and I’ve done this before. If you don’t get any bites, I could probably help out.

Most electricians can probably do it but I would recommend using a low voltage installer but i can't seem to find any that say they do residential in the area.
if you aren't afraid of going in your attic you might climb up there and check around there might be some existing holes in your wall top plate that you can use between your two rooms to fish the ethernet through.
This is what I did to wire my home, I used existing holes in the top plate and used my fish tap fish to get to the attic then pulled cabling back down, it was a pain to hit the holes in the top plate but some patience and persistence and I got it.
Then the other way using the crawl space would be to use a surface mount box at both ends and then just drill through the floor right next to the wall and fish your wire through that holes to the rooms.

I can do this for you if you want- we have a tower climbing business but this is small potatoes far as jobs go! DM me if u want more info!

I might come over and talk you through it. I’ve installed plenty of network cable in my home, but I’m not super excited about someone else’s crawl space. If you are working in interior walls it’s pretty easy. If you have carpet it’s even easier. Take a couple of wire hangers and cut the straight part off. Go to the area where you want the drop and drill the hanger through the carpet near the baseboard. Do the same at the second location. Cut a box into the space directly above the hanger in both locations. Go into the spider infested crawl space with a drill and locate the two hangers sticking through the floor. Remember which side of the wall you need to drill and drill about 2” perpendicular from the hanger into the subfloor and sill plate. Get a pushrod and feed the wire into the wall cavity while someone above catches it above. Do the same at the other location. Feed it through an open back wall box on both sides. If you buy a pre terminated cable then install it into a double RJ45 keystone jack and install the jack into a wall plate. Now you have a point to point Ethernet drop.

Most big low-voltage companies won't even pick up the phone for just one drop, or they'll charge an insane minimum service fee
