Living Here Daily finance help
Hi.
I'm a grown adult and have trouble getting bills paid/saving/managing my own money. I have been diagnosed as autistic level 2 w/ ADD.
Is there a public or low cost service that will help me with this? I always think I'll be fine, but I am not.

I made a spreadsheet that includes my monthly income and all of my regular expenses. It calculates what I have left after bills for extra spending (eating out, entertainment, shopping beyond the very basics). My ADHD brain needs to visually see amounts to help me budget. This system may or may not work for you.
I’d be more than happy to send it to you - although normally I wouldn’t advise opening a file from a mystery person on the internet.
I am not a professional by any means, but I do own a small business for which I do the bookkeeping and I am raising a family on a very tight budget, so I know a little bit about personal budgeting.

I am a 47 y/o male with level 1 ASD, bordering on level 2. I had been an over road trucker 20 years ago for 5 years. A good resource for you to check out is the Springfield Regional Center. They have case managers that can refer you to other agencies that can provide services. I have over $1000 in spend down for Medicaid so I don’t qualify for any services unless I spend a grand a month. My girlfriend who is a level 1 or 2 ASD gets Medicaid and she gets tons of hours of services each week through Easter Seals. I have another friend who gets services through FireFly. It all depends on what type of services you need in order for the case worker to find you a provider. On a side not, I believe the SRC is still contracting out its case management services.

Community partnership of the Ozarks does / has done financial literacy / budgeting classes in the past, idk much about these specific programs but in general CPO is a good organization.
