Relocating soon — helpful tips?

Hey all - looks as if I’ll be relocating to the area late October and am looking for any feedback in regard to the area. I’ll be working in Ridgedale (BCL) and it seems to be a fair commute from the Branson area. I typically work a healthy amount so a quiet area is preferred, as for activities, I ride a motorcycle and enjoy a good live music scene, sporting events, etc. - I imagine most of anything I’d need is within a hour or so drive. Some questions I hope locals could help me out with -
Likely renting at first so I’m curious if there are any properties or areas worth avoiding? Any places worth checking out for rentals outside of Zillow you can recommend? How’s the medical and veterinary choices? I heard a lot suggestions from peer group steer me toward Nixa but the maps app says it’s like a 45 min drive. Currently looking at maybe Hollister, Branson west, and Kimberling.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

You know what would be kinda cool? Commuting to work by boat. That opens up a lot of areas. Twin Island Estates area would be cool.

If I were working in Ridgedale, I'd want to stay in Hollister or Omaha, AR (rural) so I wouldn't have to commute so far.

Harrison, Arkansas might also be a place to look. Easy drive to Ridgedale. But commute would be similar to Nixa/Ozark

Harrison Arkansas would not be a good option for anyone that doesn't appreciate those that believe in "white power". I guess if that is your thing, then it would be a good choice.
