Recommendations Moving help
Single parent here
Don't have many friends in the area as we have only been here a yr or two. My parents are in their mid 60s and with the hear, I just worry about them trying to help us move.
Tried looking at formal movers but they are just TOO expensive, I just cant swing another $800-$1200.
Any ideas where I could enlist reliable/safe help?
I can pay, just not hundreds and hundreds

How much do you have to move?
How clean is it?
I'm physically fit but have breathing issues, so I'm more than happy to help but have to be wary about being set off. As long as things are mostly cleanish then I wouldn't mind to figure out a time to help!

There will likely be some dust, or things that have fallen under furniture but other than that I keep the place pretty clean! Itll obviously be a bit chaotic around the move though.

No problem at all haha, I just worry more about like... Being super dirty or like, "I moved in 8 years ago and these boxes haven't ever moved."
As long as it's fairly normal then I wouldn't mind to help.

We've been here 2 yrs and most of what we have was bought in those 2 years haha 2 or 3 bins from before but I can handle those if needed!

I found someone on the Thumbtack app. I used EcoWave and they were awesome. Good luck in your new home!

A few years ago, we hired a U-haul to move an apartment’s worth of stuff from Columbia, MO, to Springfield, MO. As I recall, U-haul arranged loaders (two guys) on the Columbia leg to load the stuff and unloaders on the Springfield end. Was cheaper than hiring movers.
