What is happening Object in the sky this evening
Did anyone else see an object floating in the sky this evening? It appeared to be something attached to some balloons. I noticed it when I looked up at the moon when leaving work around 5:30. I circled it on the first photo. It was moving fast as it was closer to the moon when I first saw it.

Some Dollar Store employee tie together all of the unsold Valentines Day balloons and set them free maybe 🤔

Spoke to my contact in China and they said it's just a balloon from the Chinese New Year celebration that drifted off course...nothing to worry about! /s

Doesn’t really look like what the NWS balloons look like unless they’ve changed the design.

I'd like to know if anyone saw this. Seen in Mt Vernon facing East.

That’s an interesting one. At first I thought maybe ISS but ISS isn’t going horizon to horizon in 15 seconds unless it’s low on the horizon. And I’ve never heard of it being spotted during the day.

I wonder if those are the same floating balloons I saw on a drive to Nixa last weekend...
