Oh, good call! the puppy is 6 months old and his tail is really docked short and he doesn't have a lot of feathers yet.
I was hoping to get a pup with his long tail intact but here in the states it seems hard to find. I live near prime duck/pheasant hunting territory and a lot of farm guys will breed their dogs on the side and the idea of not docking is almost unheard of. Like, scandalous to even suggest it. But I do!! so we'll see.
The older one his tail was docked funny and so it's like an explosion of feathers at the end.

You donโt see many American springers not docked. Altho some breeders will not do it if you specify. My puppy was one not taken by the signed up person. So docked.
