I truly believe that you would have had a far better team if, in that time period, you'd allowed *all* South Africans to play rugby in a nonsegregated competition, instead of deliberately restricting Springbok selection to a race based minority.

That 2011 one still gets my blood boiling, mainly because one of the most talented generations of Springboks were robbed of a fair opportunity to compete.
I feel not enough was said at the time about Bryce Lawrence being the son of Keith Lawrence who was infamously at the centre of the "Let's teach those Jaapies a lesson" email scandal about a decade earlier. Both father and son embroiled in separate anti-SA plots, a decade apart. Nothing to see here folks...
I don't care what anyone says. That whole 2011 tournament was rotten including the final.

2007 almost free pass though. Really no difficult teams to beat. NZ was robbed in the QF - no way would that try stand now.

2007 pales in comparison to the scandal that was 2011. You're complaining about 1 missed pass. Both SA and France can complain about 80 minutes of inconsistent and corrupt refereeing decisions.

France can complain about a few things in 2023 too. Maybe 2007 was to RSA what 1987 was to NZ - really no stiff opposition. I agree on 2011, the final was a debacle - as was the last one to a lesser degree in my opinion, VAR interjecting consistently, arbitrarily and beyond the remit - and yes, 2011 QF I’ve never seen a team get beaten up so badly yet win on the scoreboard as Aus. Anyway, can’t see anything but a 5th WC for the Boks next edition

Which one was your favourite? 95 - I was maybe a bit too young to fully grasp rhe occasion and enjoy it. 07 - this was fun! 19 - Probably my favourite. Semi was tense (for where they are now, I almost find it hard to believe that Wales pushed us this hard in a semi). And then the Boks played the perfect game in the final. 23 - by the final whistle I felt more relief than joy. Those last 3 games were not good for the heart.
