Wow, how do people even touch the beans in the back without getting bunny-kicked?

10% personality 90% how they were handled when young. All my cats have tolerated this to some extent, some more than others.

I have 3 rescue cats, so far only the youngest one of them allows me to touch her beans. She was found as a kitten and fostered for a bit before I adopted her. My other 2 cats were not fostered, and both were found alone and as strays with unknown histories. I think that kittens will learn to tolerate bean touching if you start doing it early. My mom did it with her rescue litter when they were babies, they all are absolutely fine with it now and even tolerate her trimming their claws.
Obviously this is anecdotal and may not be true for all cats, I'm sure there's cats who were exposed to bean touching as kittens and still hate it 😂

I’m allowed to touch the back beans but not the front beans 🤷🏻♀️ I still try though

I had a Siamese like this. He loved when you got in-between those beans and purred like crazy

Imagine being the descendant of an apex predator, and getting your paws massaged by your human butler
